Sixth Annual MAYB Capitol City Shoot-Out

Des Moines, Iowa (June 2-4, 2006)

Be a part of the largest summer basketball tournament in the state June 2-4, 2006 in Des Moines, Iowa. Last year over 50 teams from 9 states participated in this event. In 2006 we will utilize more than 4 facilities with multiple courts in the Greater Des Moines area. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 5 games. We hope that your team will join us for the MAYB Capitol City Shoot-Out, which is starting its sixth

consecutive year! Each year we have continued to expand and this year we are expecting a record number of 65 teams to participate. The MAYB Capitol City Shoot-Out is open to 4th-12th

grade boys and girls. Whether you are from a small school or big school, we have a division for you! Our tournament is large enough to offer multiple brackets in almost every grade, ensuring competitive games throughout. The MAYB Capitol City Shoot-Out sets the standard by which you measure all other tournaments. Nobody can beat our facilities, five game guarantees, scoring staff, certified officiating crew, and more. This tournament is as good as it gets! The MAYB Capitol City Shoot-Out is slowly becoming one of the premier youth sporting events in the state. More than 40 teams from all-parts of the state are anticipated to compete this year, in addition to the many teams traveling here from other midwestern states. Annual MAYB Capitol City Shoot-Out. Des Moines is a diverse, multifaceted metropolitan area, where you’ll find exciting nightlife from the arts (theater, ballet, symphony, and opera), to comedy clubs and live music. Special daytime and evening “edutainment” events are also sponsored by historical places such as the Salisbury House and Living History Farms, and by museums such as the Science Center of Iowa, the State Historical Society of Iowa, and the Des Moines Art Center.
