Sintratucar, the union of the workers
of Tenaris-Tubocaribe, has signed a new2- year
collective agreement. Evenwith the international crisis for
theprice of oil the union achieved a wageincrease of 7 and
increments in thefood bonuses. !etween the two items
the real wage increases is between "and # on top of in$ation.
%or thesecond year the wage increase will bee&ual to in$ation
and there is clausestating the reopening of bargaining isthe
international market change andproduction increases. !eside
themonetary achievements, the union hassecured a better procedure
forparticipation in health and safetyissues' employment stability
forpermanent employees' the movementto full time employees of #
contractedout workers doing bargaining unit workand the hiring of
other contracted ourworkers as permanent employees.
