RSRP Overview

Reference Symbol Received Power (RSRP): is defined as the linear average over the power contributions of the resource elements (REs) that carry cell-specific reference signals within the considered measurement frequency bandwidth. It provides information about signal strength and gives no indication of signal quality. It is used in handover, cell selection and cell re-selections
