The LMPTb, LMPTw, LBBPc, UPEUc, and FANc are used as examples.
In co-RRU mode, the BBU and the RRU are connected only in a dual-star topology. The RRU is connected to basebandprocessing boards for different modes in the BBU using two CPRI ports.
An LBBPc provides six CPRI ports. However, only the CPRI0, CPRI1, and CPRI2 ports are used in the typical configurationsof a WiMAX-LTE BS in co-RRU mode.
Configure the DCDU based on onsite situations.

abnormal. Therefore, you must insert an fiber optic cableinto an unpacked optical module within 20 minutes.
• Confirm that the FE/GE Ethernet cable is a shieldstraight-through cable.
Ground the shield layer of an FE/GE Ethernet cable if an FE/GE Ethernet cable is used in an APM30H orTMC11H. For details about the grounding, see the description below.
ground clip
Install a ground clip on an FE/GE Ethernet cable at proper positionwithin 1 m (3'-3 3/8") from the cabinet cable outlet.
1. Determine the position for grounding the FE/GE Ethernet cable, and
strip off a sheath of about 40 mm (1 9/16") to expose the shield layer.2. Loosen the screws on the ground clip, and route the FE/GE cable
through the clip.
3. Confirm that the shield layer of the FE/GE Ethernet cable is in fullcontact with the ground clip, and tighten the screws on the clip.

• In the 220 V AC single-phase and 110 V AC dual-live-wire power supplyscenario, only one RRU can be installed because the power supply capacityof the power equipment (AC/DC) is limited.• No surge protection is required for DC power supply. In this case, an RRUpower cable can be used for a distance of not greater than 5 m (16'-4 7/8").RRU cable connection

Measuring the VSWR of the Antenna System
Measure the VSWR of the antenna system using aBroadband Site Master.
Measure the VSWR at the point where the antenna
system is connected to the RF port on the RRU. Connect
the antenna system to the RF port on the RRU only
when the VSWR of the antenna system is lower than 1.5.
Do not connect the antenna system to theRRU if the VSWR of the antenna system ishigher than or equal to 1.5.

• When the distance between the RRU3232 and the APM30H ranges from 60 m (196'-10 3/16'') to180 m (590'-6 5/8''), install an outdoor junction box on the RRU side.
• Confirm that the cross-sectional area of the power cable between the outdoor junction box and theDCDU or APM30H is 10 mm2 (0.02 in.2 or 7 AWG).
• Confirm that the cross-sectional area of the power cable between the outdoor junction box and theRRU is 3.3 mm2 (0.01 in.2 or 12 AWG), and the length of the cable ranges from 3 m (9'-10 1/8") to5 m (16'-4 3/4'').

1 All self-made PGND cables are copper-based and are of the correct wire
diameters. No breaking devices, such as switches and fuses, are allowed for
the electric connection of the grounding system. No short circuits are allowed. Each terminal on the ground bar connects to only one wiring terminal of thePGND cable.
2 The redundant part of the power cable or PGND cable is stripped off.
3 The terminals at both ends of the power cable or PGND cable are securelysoldered or crimped.
4 The bare wires and the terminal handles of the wiring terminals are coated withheat shrink tubings.
5 The flat washer and the spring washer are securely mounted on all OTterminals.
6 All cables, especially those at the bottom of the cabinet, are securelyconnected.
7 All cables are neatly and tightly bound. The cable ties are evenly spaced andface the same direction.
8 The power cable, PGND cable, feeder, optical fiber, and E1/T1/FE signal cableare bound separately with a minimum spacing of 3 cm (1 3/16").
9 The cable layout facilitates future maintenance and capacity expansion, andthe cable radii meet the requirements.
10 Labels at both ends of a cable are legible.
11 The extra length of the cable ties is cut and removed. The cut surfaces aresmooth and have no sharp edges.
12 The vacant connectors for the cables are properly protected.

Appendix
Hoist the RRU3232 and mount ing k its onto a tower.
Bind the RRU and the mounting kits using a sling.
• Protect the RRU from colliding with the tower whenhoisting it.
• Ensure that the diameters for the lifting sling and tractionsling are about 20 mm (0 13/16'') and are less than 25 mm(0 1").
• Ensure that the ropes bear a weight more than four timesthe weight of an RRU.
• Installation engineer A climbs the tower, secures a fixedpulley to the support on the tower platform, and then
inserts a lifting sling through the fixed pulley.• Installation engineer C ties the RRU and mounting kits
using the lifting sling following the instructions in thefigure, and then ties a knot at the RRU handle using atraction sling.
• Installation engineer B pulls down the lifting sling.Installation engineer C pulls out the traction sling toprevent the RRU and the mounting kits from collidingwith the tower.
• Installation engineer A holds on to the RRU and themounting kits, and then loosens the knot to release theitems.
• The previous hoisting method is for reference only.
Do not lift the RRU by thehandle only.

Installing a Ground Clipe
Wrap three layers of tape following the sequence shown in the above figures. When wrapping tape, be surethat each layer of tape overlaps more than 50% of the preceding layer.
The other end of the ground cable connecting to the ground clip is terminated with a one-hole OT terminal withan M8 bolt, and is connected to an external ground bar.
1. Strip a sheath of 32 mm (1 1/4" ) from an RRU power cable using a wire stripper.
2. Install a ground clip on the exposed shield layer, and tighten the screws on the
ground clip.
• Ensure that the exposed shield layer must be longer than a ground clip.
• Do not clip the shield layer of an RRU power cable to a ground clip.
4. Wrap the ground clip using PVC
insulation tape.
3. Wrap the ground clip us ing
