SINGAPORE CONSUMER PROTECTION (SAFETY REQUIREMENTS) REGISTRATION SCHEME The objective of the Singapore Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration Scheme or CPS Scheme is to safeguard consumers’ interest by ensuring household products, designated as Controlled Goods, meet the specified safety standards. UL is designated by Enterprise Singapore as Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) and Recognized Testing Laboratory under the CPS Scheme for certifying and testing different types of Controlled Goods: UL can issue Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for the following list of controlled goods in Singapore: REGISTRATION OF CONTROLLED GOODS: Suppliers who wish to supply the Controlled Goods into Singapore would first have to register with the Safety Authority before submitting their Controlled Goods to a CAB for certification. Once the decision has been made to supply controlled goods in Singapore, The Registered Supplier (RS) shall submit an application to CAB (UL) for certification. After the Controlled Goods have been successfully certified, the CAB (UL) shall issue Certificate of Conformity (CoC) to the Registered Supplier. The Registered Supplier or CAB (UL) shall submit the CoC to the Safety Authority or via online for registration of the certified Controlled Goods. In cases where there is/are modification(s) to the registered Controlled Goods, the Registered Supplier is required to inform the CAB (UL) or Safety Authority. SINGAPORE CONSUMER PROTECTION (SAFETY REQUIREMENTS) REGISTRATION SCHEME

The objective of the Singapore Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration Scheme or CPS Scheme is to safeguard consumers’ interest by ensuring household products, designated as Controlled Goods, meet the specified safety standards.

UL is designated by Enterprise Singapore as Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) and Recognized Testing Laboratory under the CPS Scheme for certifying and testing different types of Controlled Goods:

UL can issue Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for the following list of controlled goods in Singapore:

REGISTRATION OF CONTROLLED GOODS:Suppliers who wish to supply the Controlled Goods into Singapore would first have to register with the Safety Authority before submitting their Controlled Goods to a CAB for certification.

Once the decision has been made to supply controlled goods in Singapore, The Registered Supplier (RS) shall submit an application to CAB (UL) for certification.
