Simple Machines

This is an inclined plane. A real world example of an inclined plane is a wheel chair ramp.
Its easier to use a ramp because its hard for things with wheels to go up the stairs.
This simple machine is a lever. A real life example is a seesaw.
It helps us because it helps us balance or weigh things. It also has a fulcrum.
This is a pulley. A flag pole is a real life example of a pulley.
A pulley helps you with flags because flags have to be put in different places on the staff
And it helps you move things up and down.
This is screw. A real life example is the vending machines food dispenser.
A screw helps people because in the food dispenser the spiral moves and lets the food
drop.
This is a wedge. A real world example is a knife.
A wedge helps people cut things like wood with a axe or butter with a butter knife.
This is a wheel and axel. A real life example is a ferris wheel.
Wheel and axels help people move loads and it helps people move around in a circle
On a ferris wheel.
