September Program MeetingWe were honored with two presenters, Ericas House and the
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is agovernment agency belonging to theUnited States Department of Justicethat serves as both a federal criminalinvestigative body and an internalintelligence agency (counterintelligence). It was a pleasure having Cyrus
present on the FBIs purpose and priorities. Hispresentation focused on National Securitymatters and how Guams businesses could beaffected by various foreign threats to ourNational Security. He also addressed certainforeign threats that could gravely impact Guam,and our nation. Additionally, Cyrus touched onthe criminal and cyber threats that the FBI isseeing on Guam and what to do to help preventindividuals from becoming victims.
Erica's House is a supportservice for parents and
children in need of visitationand exchange services. It is anorganization near and dear to
Soroptimist International of theMarianas. Diana and Natalieshared the great work thatEricas House does for the
community, their ongoingefforts, successes, challengesand projects. Kudos to these
two ladies for all the work theydo at Ericas House, the onlyvisitation center on Guam.

hours of their weekend to
entertain the elderly with song
and dance. SIM also presented
St. Dominic's Administrator, Sr.
Emelita Cinco, with varioustoiletry items, 20 bottles of
laundry soap and 20 bottles of
bleach for the facility.

SIM Charters New Club in Saipan
The Soroptimist International Northern Mariana Islands (SI NMI) CharterCelebration was held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Kanoa Resort Saipan from11:00AM - 2:00PM. It was a joyous occasion as Governor Dona Gaddis Wolf andDistrict Director Lorene Hopkins delighted us with their presence to facilitate theinduction ceremony of the 18 charter members and installation of the clubs 4
officers.
SIM would like to thank the Charter Committee Members: President Jessica Castro,Past President Sylvia Crafton, Past President Nancy Tan, Past President AileenAlfred, Past President Denise Mendiola-Hertslet and Past President Kristal Koga fortheir hard work during the preliminary stages of hosting informational and
organization meetings in Saipan.
