What are silicones?The term “silicone” refers to the chemical family of “polyorganosiloxanes”, polymers constituted essentially of the chemical elements Silicon (Si) and oxygen (O), widely present in mineral compounds.They are a great combination of the mineral’s strength, and the creativity of organic chemistry.
Silicone polymers have many attractive features that are beneficial in the field of foam control, including:

From laboratory testing to industral trials, our teams help you choose the best foam control agent.
What type of foam control agent do you need?A water free or a water based product? What kind of foaming medium do you have to defoam? An organic or aqueous medim? If aqueous, what is the pH? What is the temperature of the system? Is there any regulation status requested?
Our experts have the competencies and equipment to answer all these questions, to test your systems with several Silcolapse® antifoams to define the optimum Silcolapse® product for your application and technical needs. All quality controls are made in reference standard NF T-77 112.

Recirculation test (or Fall and Recycling test) NFT - 73 - 412 For plastic recycling, pulp and paper or chemical processes applications. This test is operated in our lab and allows you to choose the conditions in which the product should be tested. Therefore the conditions are set close to your application’s conditions.
Shaking testNFT - 77 - 112
For chemical process applications and internal quality control, this test helps us to measure the defoaming time and the number of effective defoamings.
CIPAC TestMT 47This is the standard method for agrochemicals. It allows to compare antifoam performance in agro formulations.
Gas Bubbling testNFT - 73 - 413
For the Oil & Gas industry (gas sweetening applications), the fermentation or water treatment application, this test measures the formation and height of the foam over time. The conditions are set close to your application’s conditions.
