GOD’S LOVE COVERSYou don’t need to read very far into your

Bible to find God’s love covering man’sblunders. In Genesis ch. 3, we find Adam andEve hiding from the Lord. They were filledwith fear over their sin and shame over theirnakedness. Instead of condemning them, theLord killed an innocent animal and coveredthem with its’ skin. What a beautiful picture ofGod’s redeeming love. God’s love will coveryour shame today, too, if you’ll not hide fromHim.

GOD’S LOVE GIVES DIGNITYThere is a predictable pattern of God’s

interaction with mankind. You’ll find it in boththe Old and New Testament: he takes a nobodyand makes them a somebody. Think of howKing David reached out to Mephiboseth whowas a crippled fugitive and hiding in fear of theking. Instead of the torture he expected, Davidinvited him to live the rest of his days in thepalace. Think of the guilty adulteress who wasdragged before Jesus. Although she deserveddeath, Jesus gave her hope. God’s love makesyou feel special and gives you dignity.

NO ONE’S TOO BADNo one is beyond God’s love. His love is

endless and unconditional. If you struggle witha constant sense of unworthiness, begin to focuson His love for you. Not just His love, but Hislove for you! His love is not dependent on yourbehavior, but on His character. He loves amurderer as much as He loves your pastor.Think of it! Meditate on it. Grow secure in Hislove. As you meditate on God’s love for you,you’ll begin to be forgiven, healed and filledwith a new sense of value and purpose.

GOD’S LOVE THROUGH YOUAs God’s love for you develops, you’ll begin

to look outward and see how much other peopleneed His love. At some point, you’ll realize thatyou have what others need. You’ll begin toreach out beyond your shyness and fear ofpeople’s opinions. You’ll find yourself saying,“God bless you” to waitresses and even wear aChristian t-shirt. What’s happening to you?You’re beginning to see people as they reallyare; lonely, fearful and desperately needingpurpose. Yes, God’s love for you changedeverything and now, God’s love through you ischanging everything!

LOVE ISNOT AFEELINGAll of us have

some obligationsthat we dread.Maybe it’s astep-child comingfor a visit or a stackof bills that you needto pay. Have youconsidered allowingGod to give you Hisperspective of thattask? Don’t you believethat God’s love changeseverything?I do! Now don’t get fooled into thinkingthat everything will suddenly cater to yourconvenience. God doesn’t always change thosedifficult situations, but He does changes yourperspective.I know a woman who had the care of her

elderly father-in-law. She was quite resentful

that this task had fallen upon her, instead ofanother relative. As she was complaining to theLord one morning, He asked her, “Would itannoy you as much if you were caring for Me?”She was then reminded of the scripture that says“Whatever you do to the least of them, you aredoing it for Me.” Mt. 25:36 For the next ninemonths, until the dear man went to be with theLord, that woman cheerfully took care of him asthough he were Jesus. God’s love didn’t changeher circumstances, but it certainly did change her.

GET BUSY!Get busy! If you are a believer, then the love

of God alreadydwells in you.Don’t pray forwhat you alreadyhave. It isn’t afeeling and itdoesn’t come andgo according toyour moods.As you love“by faith”, your

feelings will line upand you’ll realize that

indeed, God’s lovechanges everything.

God doesn’t love you because you’re valuable. You’re valuable because He loves you. Before you were even born, Godloved you. His love for you is not determined by your life’s performance such as whether you pray enough or raised great kids.He simply loves you. We’re going to spend some time today focusing on God’s love. Not God’s love for the world, for the sinneror for the Church, but God’s love for you. Most people focus on their mistakes or inadequacies, but today’s challenge is to focuson God’s love for you.

There is such a stirring in the spirit for 2009! I know you sense it! I sense it! Everyone I come into contact with issensing the stirring of the Holy Spirit within and upon the earth! Welcome Holy Spirit! Welcome 2009! Welcome the King Of Glory,Jesus Christ our Lord! For the believing Church (and there is quite a difference between the Church and the Believing Church) it isour finest hour! Finest Glory! Finest Harvest! Finest Witness!

As many of you know, since my first meetingwith Dr. Lester Sumrall in 1982, I have carried amantle concerning the Church, the ministry ofthe Holy Spirit among the believing Church, andthe horizons of expectancy that are available tothe believer in this hour. I deeply believe that animpartation occurred when Dr. Sumrall laidhands on me. It was Dr. Sumrall’s example thatmarked my heart that the new year is a greatopportunity to speak prophetically, since peopleare culturally embracing renewals, changes, andfresh beginnings!So, with great, great, faith, allow me to share
