Signamax Warranty Types

•Signamax Connectivity Systems offers its customersa versatile system of component and system warranties. There are several warranty types designed for different life cycles, different needs of an end user, different performance levels:

– Signamax Basic Component Warranty

– Signamax Link/Channel Warranty

– Signamax Extended Component Warranty

– Signamax Cabling System Warranty

Signamax Basic ComponentWarranty

Basic Component Warranty

•Warranty period:– 5 years:

• cable• cable assemblies• connecting hardware• networking equipment

(including electronic blocks such as extension modules, power supplies, etc.).

•The warranty takes effect since the sale of a component.


•The period of some components can be limited not only by their total in-service time but also a period until the component has used up all of its resource (for example, number of plug and jack connections in a modular connector or number of conductor terminations in an insulation displacement contact).In this case the warranty validity period can expire before the end of the specified basic component warranty period.


•Components purchase conditions:

– The components must be purchased via authorized distribution channels.


•Warranty conditions:

– Signamax Connectivity Systems guarantees that at the time of sale the components are free from design, material, and assembly flaws and provide the claimed operation performance.

– While the basic component warranty is effective Signamax is obliged to fix the component, replace it by an identical or similar one or reimburse the cost of the component through a manufacturer’s fault.

Signamax Channel/LinkWarranty

Channel/Link Warranty

•Warranty period:• 10 years:

• cable,• cable assemblies,• passive telecommunications connecting hardware,• performance of telecommunications applications, which

specifications define physical level (transmission media) type ofa given Link/Channel.

•The warranty period starts from the moment of registration and putting the Signamax Link/Channel under warranty.The Link/Channel registration date and warranty period expiration date are specified in the warranty certificate.



•This type of Signamax warranty covers

– individual cable links/channels,

– links/channels included into cabling systems with special topology not meeting standard requirements of generic telecommunications cabling systems.


•The period of some components can be limited not only by their total in-service time but also a period until the component has used up all of its resource (for example, number of plug and jack connections in a modular connector or number of conductor terminations in an insulation displacement contact).In this case the component warranty validity period can expire before the end of the specified Link/Channel Warranty period.



•The components shall be purchased via authorized distribution channels and installed into Signamax Link/Channel by an authorized installation company having the status of Signamax Authorized Installer or Signamax Authorized Consultant in accordance with the rules described in the Signamax Cabling System Manual.



– Signamax Connectivity Systems guarantees that at the time of sale the Signamax Link/Channel components are free from design, material, and assembly flaws and provide the claimed performance.

•Warranty conditions (continued):

– After the certification testing providing good results Signamax guarantees reliable operation of all telecommunications applications existing at the time of completion of Signamax Link/Channel installation as well as all telecommunications applications created afterwards whose specifications determine the physical layer (transmission media) type for this kind of link/channel.The warranty for telecommunications applications becomes effective only if the Link/Channel is used in a channel model.




– During the period of Link/Channel Warranty Signamax is obliged to fix the component, replace it by the identical or similar one, or reimburse the cost of the component through a manufacturer’s fault.

– The warranty covers the labor connected with replacing the defective components in the Link/Channel.

LINK/CHANNEL” of thу SCS Manual must be followed in

order to obtain the Signamax Link/Channel warranty.

Signamax Extended Component Warranty

Extended Component Warranty

•Warranty period:

– 15 years:

• cable,

• cable assemblies,

• passive telecommunications connecting hardware,

installed as part of the Signamax Cabling System.

– The warranty period starts from the moment of registration and putting the Signamax Cabling System under warranty.The Signamax Cabling System registration date and warranty period expiration date are specified in the warranty certificate.



•The period of some components can be limited not only by their total in-service time but also a period until the component has used up all of its resource (for example, number of plug and jack connections in a modular connector or number of conductor terminations in an insulation displacement contact).In this case the component warranty validity period can expire before the end of the specified Extended Component Warranty period.



– The components shall be purchased via authorized distribution channels and installed into Signamax Link/Channel by an authorized installation company having the status of Signamax Authorized Installer or Signamax Authorized Consultant in accordance with the rules described in the Signamax Cabling System Manual.



– Signamax Connectivity Systems guarantees that at the time of sale the Signamax Cabling System components are free from design, material, and assembly flaws and provide the claimed performance.




– During the period of Extended Component Warranty Signamax is obliged to fix the component, replace it by the identical or similar one, or reimburse the cost of the component through a manufacturer’s fault.


•The warranty covers the labor connected with replacing the defective components in the Signamax Cabling System.

•Distinctive feature of this type of warranty is absence of requirements toward the certification testing of the installed cabling system.

Component Warranty.

Signamax Cabling SystemWarranty

Cabling System Warranty

•Warranty period:

– 25 years:

• cable,

• cable assemblies,

• passive telecommunications connecting hardware,installed as a part of the Signamax Cabling System.

– performance of telecommunications applications, whose specifications define the type of a physical layer (transmission media) of this type of cabling system.

•The warranty period starts from the moment of registration and putting the Signamax Cabling System under warranty.The cabling system registration date and warranty period expiration date are specified in the warranty certificate.



•The period of some components can be limited not only by their total in-service time but also a period until the component has used up all of its resource (for example, number of plug and jack connections in a modular connector or number of conductor terminations in an insulation displacement contact).In this case the component warranty validity period can expire before the end of the specified Cabling System Warranty period.



– The components shall be purchased via authorized distribution channels and installed into Signamax Cabling System by an authorized installation company having the status of Signamax Authorized Installer or Signamax Authorized Consultant in accordance with the rules described in the Signamax Cabling System Manual.



– Signamax Connectivity Systems guarantees that at the time of sale the Signamax Cabling System components are free from design, material, and assembly flaws and provide the claimed performance.




– After the certification testing providing positive results Signamax guarantees reliable operation of all telecommunications applications existing at the time of completion of Signamax Cabling System installation as well as all telecommunications applications created afterwards whose specifications determine the physical layer (transmission media) type for this kind of cabling system.The warranty for telecommunications applications becomes effective only if the Signamax Cabling System is used in a channel model.




– During the period of Signamax Cabling System Warranty Signamax is obliged to fix the component, replace it by the identical or similar one, or reimburse the cost of the component through a manufacturer’s fault.

– The warranty covers the works connected with replacing the defective components in the Signamax Cabling System.

•To implement the Signamax warranty program Signamax Connectivity Systems has designed the authorized installers certification and training program.

• It aims to make a partnership network able to carry out design, installation and provide warranty service of Signamax products at a high level.

•Currently in the Signamax Certification Program there are two designations for companies and three designations for specialists:
