Introduction Have you ever wanted to visit another country, or know what it’s like to

go “down under?” What would it be like to live there? What

activities can you participate in? Or what kind of animals are common to the land?

Here is your chance to become a tour guide and guide our classroom on a trip to

Sydney, Australia.

Page 3: Sightsee Sydney

Task With a partner, or a group no larger than four (4) classmates,

choose at least five (5) activities and/or places from the list provided that you think would be most valuable to know about

and see when you’re visiting Australia.

Explore the provided websites and make a list of restaurants, famous landmarks, entertainment, and anything else you chose to

be essential to know if you were going on a trip to Sydney.

With your collected data you and your partner (or group) will create a brochure that will help travelers navigate through the city

and experience what it’s really like to live in a country on the other side of the world! Be sure to note whether you recommend these sights, restaurants, etc. so that people will know which are

highly rated, and worth their time and money.

Process Continued… Now begin making a list of several

choices for the activities you’ve picked. You will use this list to refer

back to when assembling your brochure.

Example: If you chose restaurants, make a list featuring various restaurants that

serve different kinds of cuisine.

Keep in mind, people of all ages travel to Sydney so locations must be

child friendly, and senior citizen appropriate.

Using your resources, tell if this is a popular choice or not so highly rated.
