Login window

The Intosite™ iPad mobile application, which complements the Intosite web application in Tecnomatix® software, is a location-aware application that displays product lifecycle management (PLM) and manufacturing information from Intosite on the shop floor.

Users with access to the Intosite web application can login to the mobile application.In the login window, enter your user name, Intosite password and your company name.

NOTE: Users only need to login the first time they launch the application, or after logging out.

The initial screen that opens after logging in contains the navigation toolbar at the bottom. This static

toolbar contains the Options button , the Placemarks button and the Set Location

button . Select the buttons to move between the different screens.

Set Location screen

After opening the application, the screen of Set Location is displayed.

You can select one of the following methods to set your location:

1. Address – if company addresses were already defined in Intosite.2. Scanner – to scan a QR code on the shop floor that holds your physical location. 3. GPS – if you are outdoors.

Working with Address method

Select the Address method from Set Location screen.

Sites screen

Upon selecting Address, a screen displays with a list of all your company sites. You can select a site directly or search for one and then select it.

Changing a site

You can select the Back button to change the site.

You can select the site placemark to get into the facility view and view the 2D layout of your plant.

Address screen

After selecting a site, a list with all company addresses already defined in Intosite is displayed on the left side of the screen. The right side of the screen displays a map of your site’s location or a 2D layout of your site if it was defined in the Intosite web application. The addresses are represented on the map as red pins. Select your location in the factory by selecting the correct address either from the list or from the map. You can search for a specific address or select one from the list.

Selecting one highlights the other. After selecting the address, select the arrow to the right of the address name.

Placemarks screen

A list of all the placemarks around the specific address is displayed, according to the defined search radius.

The placemarks in the list are sorted by the layers.

You can see more or fewer placemarks by changing the search radius on the bottom of the screen. The default search radius is 5 m.

Select the pin button on the top left side to return to the Address list.

Select a placemark to view its content.

Maximize view

If you want to maximize the view, you can hide the placemark list by selecting the button on the top right of the view. Selecting it again returns you to the previous view.

Filter results

You can filter the results to view placemarks from specific layers by selecting the Filter button and select the desired layers.

The filtering default is to view placemarks from all layers, based on the search results, but you can select one or more layers.

Choose Select All to view all layers, or choose Unselect All to view nothing.

Search for a placemark

You can search for any placemark around the selected address by typing its name or part of its name.

Add a placemark based on current location

When adding a placemark you need to add the following information:• A photo or a video by using existing media or creating new ones• A layer• A name

Intosite adds the placemark within the offset and altitude that you set for your location, and associates it to the selected layer. Adding offset or altitude is optional.

NOTE: If you select address or scanner methods, Site and Zone are defined by default, but you can change this selection. For GPS, select both Site and Zone.

When adding a placemark, it appears in the Placemark list and it is added automatically to Intosite.

The scanner is based on QR codes. The QR code is a two-dimensional barcode that is generated inside Intosite application by the user.

Select the Scanner method from Set Location screen.

QR codes are created in the Intosite web application by users and hold geo-location information. The QR codes are assigned manually to the facilities on the shop floor. Once the user scans the QR code on the shop floor using the app, all placemarks around his location will be displayed in the Placemarks list.

Select the Scanner method and place the QR code in the middle of the screen.

After scanning the QR code, a list of placemarks surrounding the location the QR code holds is displayed. You can change size of the radius to see more or fewer placemarks.

To scan another QR code, select the Back button on the top left of the screen. This returns you to scanning mode.

The continuation of the work is the same as in the Address method.

Working with GPS method

GPS is a satellite-based navigation system. When outdoors, the mobile application can determine its location using the device’s GPS.

Select the GPS method from Set Location screen.

GPS accuracy refers to how close you are to the location that was determined by the GPS.On the bottom right of the screen, select the Set Location button. A list of placemarks around your current location is displayed. You can see more or fewer placemarks by changing the radius size.

Select the Location button on the top left of screen to refresh your location when traveling outdoors.

The continuation of the work is the same as in the Address method.

Select Options from the navigation toolbar.

Select Log Out to logout from the application.

Select Help and Support to access the support page of Intosite. The page contains instructions for both application (mobile and web-based) and a link to a relevant forum.
