Feeling of shelter and security

Window shutters protect against sunlight and storm, providing privacy and a feeling of security at the same time. In addition they are an additional layer for heat and sound insulation.

In addition to the functional advantages of window shutters they play an aesthetic role as a design ele-ment – to restore an old building, to enhance a face-less façade or if you plan to build a modern house with striking features. Aluminium A superior material Aluminium is well known for its many beneficial qualities as a building material and is ideal for shutters lending itself to both traditio-nal and contemporary designs and is suitable for a large variety of finishes.

Durable and low maintenance

Aluminium is stable and non-corroding therefore long lasting and low maintenance. They do not rot, they resist the ravages of wind and weather and even after decades of use look nearly the same as on the first day.

Easy to install

The light weight of aluminium simplifies installation and makes the shutters easy to operate.

Cost-effective and enduring

Aluminium shutters are an environmentally friendly option as they are durable and can be recycled. The finishes are powder-coated in an environmentally friendly way. Hazardous solvents are not used and on our modern powder-coating line, the excessive colour material is recycled and waste water is purified.

Powder coating The ideal surfaceIn the past centuries window shutters have gone from a simple wooden plate to a weather resistant and modern façade element that is easy to maintain. This development was not only possible thanks to the material aluminium. Also the finish by means of high-quality powder coating has made its contribution.

Resistant and environment-friendly

During powder coating electro-statically charged co-lour particles are applied on the material and then burned in. The result – without using any hazardous solvents- is a very resistant and colour-fast surface layer. It protects the shutter reliably against weathe-ring influences and scratches. And as it is strongly connected to the aluminium, even after years colour particles do not blister.

In addition power coating is environment-friendly. Harmful solvents are not used. In our modern pow-der coating unit excess colour material is regained. Waste water is recycled. Profitability meets ecology.

Endless possibilities

With the help of special coating processes, we are able to generate a variety of surfaces – plain or with matt fine structure. Even different wooden surfaces can be realistically reproduced. In combination with more than 3000 available colours there is an almost endless range of possibilities.

Quality with label

The quality of coated aluminium surfaces is impor-tant to guarantee long-term protection of precious parts and good looking.This is why EHRET works according to very strict technical directives that are subject to international quality standards and are controlled from neutral organisations. EHRET is cer-tified according to GSB (quality label for piecework coating of aluminium building components) as well as licenced according to QUALICOAT. These two licences guarantee the permanent compliance with highest production standards.

In addition, EHRET products are verified and certified in accordance with DIN EN 13659 CE, hereby comp-lying with safety-related construction and installa-tion requirements. Furthermore a special pretreat-ment called OCEANLINE was developed from EHRET. This optional process ensures additional protection from disadvantageous environmental conditions like maritime climate, de-icing salt or influences due to industrial plants.

These quality standards stand for continuous first-class properties of material, workmanship, security and product life and guaranty a lot of pleasure with our products.

Variety at EHRET Colours and surfaces

RAL, NCS & VSR

EHRET offers an enormous variety of colours. Within the standard colour systems RAL, NCS and VSR, more than 3000 colours are available.

EHRET has included in his standard product range the new finish structure matt fine (SMF). This lacquer surface is even more durable and resis- tant. Furthermore, the modern matt design requires much less cleaning work.

In addition to this vaste colour choice we also fulfil special requirements like two-coloured shutters or special metal effect colourings.

Timber style finish

Functionality and aesthetics in precious natural wood design – much more innovative than the ori-ginal example. Powder coatings in timber style finish look like real wood.

Our range of 16 different timber style finishes in brighter or darker colourings offers something for every taste. Please ask for our speciafor our special timber style finish colour card.

Antique Finish

A special additional treatment helps to generate An-tique Finish on aluminium in 10 different designs that are difficult to differentiate from an original ageing. It is especially suited for window shutters that have to complete harmoniously the look of a mediterrane-an or antique house.

When our products are used in areas with extreme environmental conditions, e.g. maritime climate (distance to the coast < 50 km), salt fog, deicing salt or influences due to industrial plants, we recommend to use the optional pretreatment OCEAN LINE (except accessories).

Sliding shutters Tradition meets ModernismSliding shutters offer numerous design effects through material, colour and façade structure. New buildings, with large window surfaces benefit from shading. The shutters largely determine the look of the façade and become an important design element. They protect the interior against direct sunlight and they also provide privacy.

Bi-fold shutters The space-saverConventional shutters require sufficient pivoting radius and space when they have to be fixed on the right and on the left side of the win-dow in open position. A solution for such specific space constraints would be bi-fold shutters. They are fitted in rails with ball bearing rolls that run smoothly and without noise. Bi-fold shutters open across their entire width.

Energy-savingsClosed window shutters, sliding shutters or bi-fold shutters have an heat-insulating ef-fect due to the air cushion between window shutter and window. This saves heating and energy costs.

Anti-burglary protectionIt has been proved that shutters are bur-glary-resistant and deter housebreakers. Depending on the chosen stability and the safety options, the shutters protect against burglars.

Privacy protectionWith EHRET shutters it is easy to keep your privacy and to protect the inside of your house against undesired peeks at any time.

Sound-insulationThanks to the double plate effect, a window shutter offers effective protection against disturbing noise. Using models like e.g. ISO or TSW, this effect is even amplifi ed due to the polystyrene fi lling.

ComfortEHRET window and sliding shutters open and close easily by means of keystroke on switch or remote control. The opening of windows or doors is not necessary anymore. It is possible to integrate the EHRET power units in system buses or to connect them to wind or time sensors.

Heat protectionOptimised heat protection from outside as the sun rays are attenuated already in front of the window shutter.

Cold protectionEHRET window shutters resist to all kind of stress. They protect effectively against cold and reduce the consumption of energy.

Angle joints

Into the mitre joints of shutters, profi le an-gles in aluminium are bonded with two-component industrial glue. The result is an exact and very stable joint that keeps the form for centuries.

Fillings

The sound-absorbing fi lling consists of two sandwich aluminium elements with a special insulation layer in polystyrene hard foam. These models reach high insulation values and are suited for energy-effi cient construction and front reconstruction.

Clamp profi le

By means of a clamp profi le it is possible to replace damaged louvers. So it is not neces-sary to replace the complete shutter. The louvers are silenced embedded in the clamp profi le and do not transmit vibrations to the frame profi le.

Pre-Assembly

Our accurately preassembled, patented cross hinge is vertically and horizontally ad-justable. Also baffl e plates and other kind of hinges will be preassembled on demand. So it is guaranteed that the window shutters will be fi xed exactly on the façade.

Electric power unit

The power unit is based on a rolling shutter motor with automatic limit stop. It is availa-ble for window and sliding shutters. Also refi tting of existing shutters is possible.

Safety

Also for safety purposes, EHRET offers a vaste accessory range for anti-burglary pro-tection, e.g. special locks or retaining safe-ty pins that make it diffi cult to remove the shutters.

Inside opener

This system ensures comfortable handling of window shutters from inside through a hand crank. It is not necessary to open the window and the comfort of this system presents an alternative to the classic rolling shutter.

Frame element and installation frame

EHRET offers the customized frame element (1) in powder-coated aluminium for all types of window shutters, including accessory, on demand also with window sill. For fast fi xing on existing window frames, EHRET also of-fers a customized installation frame (2). This frame includes the preassembled panels.
