Shrewsbury Geography Dept 2011
Flooding in Bangkok, Oct/Nov 2011 – Part 2
Many teachers from Shrewsbury International School have been trying to help flood victims over the last week by volunteering with a range of charities. Many have been working with the Red Cross, a worldwide charity with aims to directly help victims of natural and man made disasters by providing basic essentials for people to stay alive and stay healthy. The Red Cross has been gathering donations from companies and individuals and delivering them every day in trucks to some of the worst hit areas, where the floodwater is neck deep. Watch this video to see how deep the trucks have to go! (moments later our truck broke down because the engine got flooded)

The victims were very grateful, once the trucks did arrive (they had been waiting all day)
