You are to write a short paper (750-1500 words) on an
organizationalexperience. It is due on the week of Feb 25th at the
beginning of the class.Please print your paper double-sided and do
not use a cover page. Just putyour name and student number in the
header.
This assignment asks you to draw upon your direct experience
interactingwith organizations, either for-profit or non-profit.
Pick one organizationalexperience of interest and/or value to you.
You must pick an organizational
experience that addresses an issue of (a) individual
differences, OR (2)motivation, OR (3) stress.
Describe who, what, when, where, why, and how. Your description
of theexperience should also address why it is that you were
pleased (or not) bythe experience. Then, analyze what relevant
theories (if any) provideexplanatory value to help make sense of
your experience. Explain why theydo or do not.
Conclude your paper with what you have learned from the task of
writing thepaper, which is essentially an activity of
self-reflection.
