Short Breaks Large grants funding - 2016-17
Local Panels’ priorities
- A range of activities across age groups; and for different levels of need/abilities
- A range of interesting fun activities valued by children and young people
- Considering any gaps in local areas (budget permitting)
- Continuing activities that are good value, where monitoring information evidences good attendance of Gateway card holders
- A good range across the year, especially high priority times for families e.g. summer
Grant applications
• For multiple activities, please fill out one grant application and put the various clubs/sessions details on the Supplementary Question forms – these can be accessed when you are in the online application system, or from the short breaks funding pages. No old forms please! (2 separate forms - Finance & Activity details)
• Geographical areas need to be in separate applications
• Ensure a sustainable, reasonable charge in line with standard cost - you can request funding to help subsidise families in financial hardship
Top tips…..
• Please make sure you tell us:
– What is the activity?
– Where are you doing it?
– How has the need been identified?
– When will it take place?
– Who will attend?
