ELECTRONICS (PRINCIPAL)

(New Course)

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE EXAMINERS :

1. Students have to perform one experiment from each group. The experiments should be assigned in cyclic order.

2. Instruction set of 8085 and 8051, Address chart of its peripherals and data manuals of IC's should be made

available to candidates.

3. The examiners should see that the group distribution is displayed on the notice board in advance.

4. Wherever the circuit is asked to assemble, it should be observed that no ready-made experimental kit is

supplied.

5. There will be 4 Practicals each carrying 35 marks; 35 x 4 = 140 marks.

6. There will be a project evaluation of 40 marks, seperately.

a) Project report - 10 marks

b) Project demonstration - 20 marks

c) Project work Viva-voice - 10 marks

7. Marks of Project work, Seminar, Industrial visit, day to day work and journal should be entered in the given

proforma and attached to original mark-sheet.

8. Marks of seminar report and industrial visit report are given for the certified reports and oral based on the

report.

9. Marks of day to day work and journals (out of 20) are splitted as journal certification (8) Presentation &

neatnes (4) For seminar (4) Indusmual Visit (4) Marlrs are allotted

10. Marks of project work, seminar, industrial visit, day-to-day work & Journal should be transfer on Original

mark-sheet, so that the total marks will be out of 200.

11. Project assessment should be carried out on seperate day as given in the practical examination program.

12. The examiners are requested to see the quality of the project and originality of the student in fabricating the

project while assessing the project work. It is expected that the project should be self contained including the

units required such as power supply etc.

13. The mark list should be directly sent to Controller of examination, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

Instructions to Laboratory Supervisor

1. It is expected that all the experiment printed on slips are arranged in the Laboratory at the time of inspection.

2. Candidates should be supplied with Mathematical tables, Instruction set of 8085 and 8051 Address Chart of its

peripheral data manuals of IC's also.

3. Experts should keep a file of the actual observation recorded by them while performing experiments for

determining the constants. The file may be required by the examiners for reference. Constants supplied must be

based on the results required in the scheme of marking.

4. A copy of question slips in Electronics Practical sent herewith should be used by laboratory supervisor for

arranging experiments. One copy is to be displayed on the notice board for information of students, immediately.

5. All the slips are to be completely pasted on the answer-paper.

6. Care should be taken so that the candidates should not be held up for the want of apparatus.

7. Wherever the circuit is asked to assemble, it should be observed that no ready-made experimental kit is

provided to the candidate.

8. The Semi. log graph paper and programe coding sheets should be provided to candidates.

Instructions to Candidates -

1. The time of the examination is as given below. The candidates should be present 15 minutes before the

scheduled time.

2. Candidates who fail to present themselves at the time and place fixed for their examination will not be

examined.

3. Candidates will be required to produce their laboratory journals at the time of their practical examination. The

journal must be properly certified by incharge staff members and also by Head of the department and should

bear the candidates examination number at the top . If a candidate has lost his/her journal, he must produce a

certificate from competant authority to the effect that he/she has completed the requisite number of experiments.

4. Candidates will be required to produce their project report, seminar report and industrial visit report, properly

certified at the time of their practical examination.

5. The students will be examined in four practicals each of 3 hours duration and project seperately.

6. Candidates should note carefully the distribution of marks shown on each slip.

7. All the observations and calculations must be written in ink.

8. Use of Calculator, Log-table, instruction set of 8085, address charts of peripherals and data manuals of IC's are

allowed. Candidates should bring their own geometric set.

9. Candidates should not start the experiment without showing circuit to the examiners.

10. Candidates must show at least one adjustment/observation of each type to the examiner.

11. The candidates should also read carefully the instructions printed on the answer-books.

12. Manipulation of results will not be be allowed.

13. The candidates have to perform one experiment from each of A, B, C, D and Project demonstration.

14. The candidate should bring their project work on the day of Project work examination.
