A Message from the Pastor’s Heart
Greetings,
We live as Easter people. By this, I mean that we live our lives
into the fullness of Jesus’s resurrection. The resurrection has amazing
consequences on our lives: it means that we no longer live as if death is
the end, we live into eternity. Jesus offers us eternity when he says,
“Come, follow me.” These three very simple words which effect
everything we do. Come, follow me is an invitation to do as Jesus did -
an invitation to carry on Jesus’s mission and ministry in this world.
Christ’s resurrection is a message of hope to the world - a message
that Christ’s work is not done. Indeed, as Christ’s disciples, we are to be
the image of Jesus in the world.
Living as Easter people means that we proclaim the gospel, the
good news, in a broken world. Imagine the power of a group of people
proclaiming peace in the world. Imagine the power of living into peace
in the world. Imagine living into healing in the world. Imagine living
into loving our neighbors as ourselves, feeding the hungry, clothing the
naked, and helping the poor. Sometimes, our actions in living as Easter
people is a proclamation which speaks louder than words.
Let us continue to proclaim with our mouths, He is risen! this
Easter Sunday. And, let us proclaim with our actions that Christ is
risen, indeed! each day of our lives.
Grace and Peace to you,
Pastor Dee

Welcoming Spring
Happy-coloured crocus’ smile their greeting of
the spring;
Robins left a wintered heart every time they sing
Dormant buds are ready to split – releasing the
green inside;
Leaves are ready to open and stretch – no longer
will they hide.
Spring is the season of rebirth – everything is
new;
Winter struggle is left behind when we see what
spring can do.

What Makes a Dad
God took the strength of a mountain
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle’s flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it …Dad
