KIT MILLER“Fearless Conflict-Tools For Life” - Training For Student Leaders1-4:30 p.m., Vandervort Room Presenter Kit Miller serves as the director of the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence. She previously served as director/celebrator of Bay Area Nonviolent Communication in Oakland, California. This workshop includes hands-on, practical exercises, including roleplays,to facilitate learning for all.

Community Activist and Peace Educator

Tuesday, January 257 p.m., Sanford Room
will hold an interactive discussion about peace and the importance of Dr. King’s anti-war speech. Payne holds a B.A. in philosophy from St. John Fisher College and a M.A. in religion from Colgate Rochester Crozer School of Divinity. In 2009, he earned a M.T.S from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.
After returning home from a seminary delegation in El Salvador, he worked closely with Poor People United. In 2006, he supervised two IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance sites in Charlotte, N.C. and worked for a progressive Baptist congregation in Decatur, Ga. Payne was raised in the Baptist tradition but values every faith as an expression of God’s vast richness and complex diversity.
