Introduction
Shenship was established in 1985 and started initially as a transport company, which
operated a fleet of cross-border trucks running between Hong Kong and China.
The development was so rapid during the past thirty years that the company, at present, is
a third party logistics service provider that offers total logistics solution to its clients not only
locally, but also globally.
Shenship now focuses on six (6) business sectors in China:-
1. Bulk Logistics
2. Chemical Logistics
3. Intermodal Services to Mainland China, CIS, Indian Gulf and ASEAN
4. Oil & Energy
5. On-shore Services
6. Project Shipment and Heavy Lifting
Those activities have been taken care by our own offices in the regions:
Shekou office - Pearl River Delta
Shanghai office - Yangtze River Delta
Tianjin Office - Bohai Region (Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian and Qingdao)
With a broad customers base of oil and energy industry in China, Shenship placed
herself in a favorable position in serving the rapidly growing oil & gas market in China.
With the professional background of the company, it entirely caters the market's niche
for the complex customs formalities in China and the global network support for the
oilfield companies in China.
All in all, we don't just provide services, we provide solutions.

We have gained extensive experience in handling
oilwell equipment through providing total logistics

Shenship (Hong Kong) will not QAQC shipment which is either transshipped to Hong Kong by other carrier from origin or is delivered by courier to Shenship (Hong Kong) unless requested by Client. 3.3.2 Shenship Real- time Cargo Status Report (SRCSR) Any receipt of shipments has to be updated in Daily Cargo Status Report in the same day. It is very important that the “Actual ex works” date is updated in the system as well as this will trigger an ETA final destination date by which Client has to work in line with the import permit applications.

3.3.3 Cargo Packing Shenship at origins are requested to use their own professional judgment if a shipment requires crating or may be sent in cartons, shrink-wrapped on pallets or even shipped in suppliers packing if sufficient. The priority is the safety and undamaged arrival of the shipment. Any Purchase Order which may be received at the same time and are to be shipped by same mode of transport has to be shipped consolidated automatically on a weekly consolidation and without further approval by Client. Same applies to partial deliveries of purchase orders. 3.4 Documentation & Shipping Shenship at origins have to ensure complete documentation available for each shipment. Vendors are immediately requested to recover any missing documentation if discrepancy found. Required Documents (1) Commercial Invoice
 Purchase Order Number must be highlighted on the commercial invoice. Country of Origin must be indicated;
 Number of Packages must be highlighted; A Detailed description of goods, together with relevant Vendor Serial or Part Number must be
highlighted on the invoice, separate Packing List or both;
 Freight cost need to be indicated;
(2) Packing List A Packing list must be issued against each Purchase Order and against each package Dimensions of each package or packages to be provided. The weight of each package, along with Net and Gross weight must also be provided. Consignee Address and Purchase Order Number must be clearly marked on each package.
(3) Fumigation Certificate (Heat Treatment Certificate) (4) Airway Bill or Bill of Lading 3.4.1 Commercial Invoice & Packing List The Commercial Invoice and Packing List can be combined into one document, on occasions, and this document must show the complete names and addresses both the shipper and consignee. It should contain complete goods descriptions, plus quantities, unit of measure, net weights of cargo, country of origin and extended prices of the goods. Weights and measurements must be in metric system. The marks and numbers must be correspondence with those on the air waybill/ bill of lading and also on each package. Performa Invoice is not an acceptable title for the Commercial Invoice/Packing List. The Commercial Invoice/Packing List in summary should indicate Purchase Order FOB total plus transportation cost, and that equals CIF value. Vendors are suggested to use US dollar as currency. Shenship at origins are kindly requested to observe that also net weights and country of origin are needed to be shown on the packing list accompanying the shipment. If the net weights and country of origin are not available, vendor is to be contacted to supplier. If vendor does not have the country of origin and net weights available, the cargo has to be unpacked and weighted, and then the net weights are to be taken at the Shenship at origins designated warehouse. Finally the net weights have to be uploaded into Daily Cargo Status Report with a remark. “Tare weight” is the weight of all packing material without the weight of the cargo itself. “Gross weight” is the total weight of the cargo and packing material.
Shenship Logistics Ltd 20 Feb 2017 Page 21 of 42
“Net weight” is the weight of the cargo only without any packing material, which is of outmost importance as it is used as basis for customs clearance in China .If the net weight stipulated too high, the applicable customs duties would be too high. If the weight stipulated too low, Client might face customs penalties, which in the worst case can result in the loss of their duty exemption license or a complete loss of any import rights into China. For any consolidated shipments, a set of consolidated documentation such as commercial invoice, packing list and fumigation certificate is to be issued by Shenship at origins. If vendor is unable to supply any missing document, Shenship at origins has to inform, at the first instance, Shenship who will seek assistance from Client immediately. 3.4.2 Wood Packing Material (WPM) Effective 01 Jan 2006, paper certificates of treatment will no longer be required or acceptable. Shippers of goods to China must scrupulously observe new Chinese rules covering wood packaging materials, or face delays in the delivery of their goods. The new rules, which went into effect Jan. 1, 2006 require that all wood packaging materials used for consignments to China be labeled with an approved manufacturer "IPPC" mark (in accordance with ISPM 15) and certified by the relevant quarantine authorities of exporting countries (Heat Treatment Certificate).
However, China has made the change that it will not accept wood under the Methyl Bromide Fumigation Program though it is approved by the ISPM 15 Standard. Any non-compliant wood packaging materials will be treated, destroyed or returned along with the consignments. The new rules have been promulgated by China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), which is also supervising their implementation at Chinese ports. Please see the following link for more details on the new measures is available on the US Dept. of Agriculture website at: http://www.aphis.usda.gov 3.4.3 Air Waybill and Bill of Lading
There are no special requirements for these documents; however, marks and numbers of each package must
be correspondence with those on the Commercial Invoice/Packing List.
Copy of Bill of Lading is acceptable if original is telex-surrendered or Waybill.

to scan a copy of the HAWB or HBL commercial invoice, packing list etc to the Logistics Planner of
Shenship who will upload into the Real-time Cargo Status Report the same.

Due to Shenship will not open and check the DG cargo again in Hong Kong. Shenship at origins will ensure the packing in line with DG requirement. If the packing condition is poor and it is likely to cause leakage for transportation, Shenship at origins has to carry out repacking and notify Client at the first instance. Whenever DG is in liquid form and the drums were packed in carton boxes, Shenship at origins shall open the carton boxes and make sure there is no leakage. Client will be notified at the first instance.
3.6 Insurance Subject to the arrangements of insurance coverage. IV. Local Operations 4.1 Local Pick-up and Delivery Designated truckers will pick up shipments from airport terminals and seaport terminals on routine basis as per their
assigned areas and job codes and deliver to designated warehouse. The designated truckers, being the official registered subcontractor of Shenship, will collect the shipments from airport terminals despite no AWB or HAWB received by Shenship or no job orders being issued. Yet, the designated truckers have to report to Shenship for the afore-said shipment in order to let the office update the database of SRCSR Real-time Cargo Status Report. Upon cargo collection, designated truckers are fully responsible to ensure the shipments apparently in sound conditions. If discrepancy found i.e. damaged, shorted, etc. the designated truckers have to notify Shenship who will notify Client the same and proceed proper formality at the same time, such as notify in-house insurance company, arrange on-site survey, hold liability from relevant parties in writing. 4.2 Warehousing Upon cargo collection, designated warehouse has to issue cargo receipt to the designated truckers and send the cargo receipt to Shenship electronically before 1700hrs of the day. It’s the duty of designated warehouse to ensure following items in order and report to Shenship if discrepancy found:-
 Marks & Nos. Numbers of Packages Conditions of the Types and Sized of Packing Non-DG Cargo No Leakage if Shipment in Liquid Form Label & Sign i.e. Aerial Mark, Fragile, etc.
Designated warehouse has to send monthly inventory electronically to Shenship on 25th of the month in order for a regular data rectification with the database of SRCSR Real-time Cargo Status Report.
Shenship Logistics Ltd 20 Feb 2017 Page 24 of 42
Shenship might request designated warehouse to perform Unpacking and Repacking of cargo on occasions as per client’s request. The relevant charges will only be accepted on agreed tariff. Shipments from local vendors are not expected to have any repacking by Shenship unless requested by Client. Local vendor should deliver their shipments in proper packing. 4.3 Re-Labeling, Re-Marking, Re-Packing, Lashing, Cradling, etc. Shipment required Re-Labeling, Re-Marking, Re-packing, Lashing, Cradling or Package Alternations due to many reasons. Most of them are to be done in order to cater the CIQ requirement at the Chinese border or securing the packages in transit to avoid possible leakage. Such alternations may be requested by Shenship and are subject to the judgment of Shenship Logistics Planner. Such alternation must be remarked as an instruction in the Pre-delivery Advice sent by Shenship. After confirmation with Client, the Logistics Planner has to immediately instruct designated warehouse to do job as requested. It is a standing instruction that, in order to ensure designated warehouse had done the alternation properly, the Logistics Planner, or his appointed colleague, has to take an on-site survey at designated warehouse without fail. 4.4 DG Cargo Handling
In case of DG shipment, Client should let their vendors be aware of the following:
 Shenship can only handle DGR cargo of IMDG class 2-9. Any shipments of IMDG class 1 are to be advised immediately for cross.
 All shipments of IMDG class 2 & 3 are to be delivered separately. They are NOT allowed to be consolidated, trucked & shipped with any other cargo.
 IMDG class 4,5,6,7,8,9 can be transported on normal trucks. IMDG class 2&3 must be transported by trucks with a DGR license. IMDG class 4.1 and 5.1 must not be packed by wooden material. MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) must make complete and available.

User can also consider saving this completed booking as a template in the system, and retrieve it next time when similar shipment takes place in future.
Once the booking is submitted, user can find its record included under Not Confirmed Booking category,
pending for Shenship Planner’s verification. The Planner will be notified by automatic email of this new order, and process its data correctness and integrity in their in-house operating portal. The booking will also be assigned with a designated S/O number for future reference.
