THE ISLAND OF IRELAND , IS LOCATED IN THE NORTH WEST OF EUROPE . BETWEEN LATITUDES OF 11 DEGREES C TO 5 W. IT IS SEPERATED FROM THE NIEBORING ISLAND OF GREAT BRITAIN BY THE IRISH SEA AND THE NORTH CHANNEL, WITCH HAS A WIDTH OF 23 KL [14 MI] 100 AT ITS NARROWEST POINT. TO THE WEST IS THE NORTHERN ATLANTIC OCEAN AND TO THE SOUTH IS THE CELTIC SEA , WIICH LIES BETWEEN IRELAND AND BRITTINY , IN FRANCE . IRELAND HAS A TOTAL AREA OF 84,421 KL [32,595 SQ MILES].

Traditional sports in Ireland are Gaelic football / soccer and hurling. In football teams of 15 players kick a soccer ball toward a goal. For hurling they use hockey sticks . With the hockey sticks they have to get a ball past a goal.
