• The overall experience was a very challenging one given
they had never played the piano before so as a result very
little progress was made even after a ten minute practice
• They were happy that the tune played aloud while the keys
vibrated as it kept them interested and motivated and
allowed them to obtain a better understanding of what they
were actually trying to play
• One person agreed unknowingly with the research
conducted stating that repetition of the same tune would
result in the finger spacing and sequencing becoming
embedded on one’s memory over time

The Study Shell is a compact, portable work station designed for primary school children. It was conceived to serve the new trend of tablet devices being used as a teaching aid in the classroom.
