SHARED SERVICES PROGRAM
• It is a shared services program designed to utilize student skills to help entrepreneurs in the Research Park with project needs (i.e. We will share our team with you)
• EnterpriseWorks has hired a diverse team of student specialists who are equipped to assist with a variety of project types
• Up to 50% of their time will be available for client projects
• Background skills include graphic design, marketing, computer science, business, and microbiology
• Additional part-time staff is also available for some projects
WHAT IS THE NEW PROGRAM?
SHARED SERVICES PROGRAM
EXAMPLES OF PROJECTS OUR TEAM CAN COMPLETE:
• Logo design development• Marketing tool designs (e.g. flyers, brochures, pamphlets, etc)• Assistance with press release writing (EnterpriseWorks will pay
50% of business wire cost for press releases)• Creation of WebTools surveys for market research, etc.• Video recording and/or photography• Laboratory setup for new startups, equipment training

businesses in the Research Park.
Customize sections for individual
employers based on their desired policies.

• Expense reimbursement policy
• Non-discrimination policies
• Performance review procedures
• Conflicts of Interest and outside employment
• Confidentiality of work
PROJECT EXAMPLE 3New company would like to implement Google AdwordsCampaigns and use Google Analytics
Strategy and Implementation
• Define "Campaigns" - including: geographic reach, ad placement, landing page, budget, set of keywords & max cost per click (CPC) for each adgroup
• Create Ad Copies with "call to action" for each ad group
• Implement Google Analytics on all website pages, and connect Adwords and Analytics accounts for reporting
• Launch Google Adwords Campaigns!
• Monitor Adwords Analytics, and modify campaigns accordingly
• Monitor and track ROI on all campaigns
Analysis
• Analysis of present site traffic & competitor's site traffic
• Analysis of industry keywords and phrases, and sites' ranking with those keywords on major search engines
• Analysis of competitors' positions with same keywords
• Analysis of sites' organic keywords and organic keywords used by competitors

University, the team can setup a server

for backup, web serving, or other
specialized servers.

In order to take advantage of the program, entrepreneurs must fulfill certain requirements:
• An application must be completed• Projects must have a defined beginning and end• Projects should require no more than 1 month to complete• A single contact from the company must be assigned
SO HOW DOES THE PROGRAMWORK?
SHARED SERVICES PROGRAM
Once the application has been completed and the project adheres to the guidelines and availability/skills of staff:
• EnterpriseWorks will approve the application within one week of submittal
• One or more student interns will be assigned to the project• The scope of the project will be defined and agreed upon in advance• Three meetings will be planned:
- Initial Debriefing- Midway Check-In- Final Deliverable Appointment
AFTER THESE REQUIREMENTS HAVE BEEN MET…
SHARED SERVICES PROGRAM
REVIEW OF PROCESS:1) Brainstorm your project. It should have a discrete beginning
and end, and it should require no more than 1 month to complete.2) Complete an application and submit to Laura. [Laura will review
your application and respond within a week]3) If the application is approved, you will be assigned one or more
interns for the project, with one intern assigned lead.4) A scope of the project must be agreed upon prior to beginning
project.5) Once the scope has been defined, an initial debriefing meeting will
take place.6) A midway check-in meeting will allow the team to review progress
with the designated contact.7) The deliverables will be presented at the final project
meeting.
