We are innovative. We are durable. We are committed, totally, to integrity. We see smarter solutions, seek new horizons, new opportunities. We are experienced investors in knowledge. We add personality, strength, support, focus and dedication. We are Carrington . . . we are the fabric of life.

Carrington Workwear Fabrics

Carrington is one of Europe’s largest fully integrated textile processing and finishing operations, producing fabrics suitable for end-user applications across all industry sectors. Based in Lancashire, where the roots of British textiles began, the company is the largest producer of workwear fabrics in the UK. And is now Europe’s leading supplier of flame retardant finished fabrics exporting to 70 countries worldwide.

We specialise in the development of fabrics and finishes that can provide exceptional levels of performance in the most demanding workplace environments. Working closely with Europe’s leading garment manufacturers and rental laundries puts us in a unique position to monitor trends and demand.

Operational and environmental excellence is the driving force of our business and is supported by a continuous programme of investment in modern, environmentally sound production technologies of our manufacturing company Pincroft Dyeing & Printing Co. Ltd

Investment in technology and production goes hand in hand with ecology and sustainability. We have dramatically reduced the environmental impact of our fabric preparation, dyeing and printing and finishing processes. Operating one of the largest heat recovery systems of its type in the world, we utilise advanced effluent treatment technology to recycle chemical residues and minimise water consumption.

We have a long established international reputation for innovation and continue to introduce exciting new breakthroughs in workwear and technical fabrics. Our workwear range meets the stringent performance requirements encountered in such diverse areas as heavy industry, light engineering, food processing, retail, distribution, pharmaceutical, healthcare and defence. Our quality assurance systems cover every stage of fabric production and our methods and processes are certified to internationally recognised standards such as ISO and ETSA.

This is backed up by total customer support through our Sales office in England, France and Germany – plus, agents and distributors across the globe.

Fit for Purpose

In the UK, in Europe

and in the wider world,

millions of people

perform their tasks

comfortably and safely

in workwear made from

Carrington fabrics.

Which means they

work happily and more

efficiently. This is a prime

concern – but it has to

be balanced against

practical considerations.

Workwear also has to

be supremely fit for

purpose and offer value

in commercial terms.

We are consulted on workwear in many diverse sectors. These include

Healthcare, Heavy industry, Light engineering, Food Processing, Retail,

Distribution, Defence, Hospitality, Travel, Utilities, Public Sector and

Emergency Services.

We respond with advice that comes from long experience, plus a

wide range of fabrics to meet specialised workwear needs. Using

in-house CAD our designers work with garment manufacturers,

distributors, brands and end-users to create bespoke designs that

incorporate logos or other graphics – to reinforce a professional

corporate image.

Workwear fabrics worn by personnel working for brand giants such

as McDonalds, UPS, BUPA, TATA Steel, Shell, Coca Cola, Airbus,

Jaguar Land Rover, BP and Arcelor Mittal.

It has to meet every performance requirement, with optimum

functionality and durability throughout a long life. And, it must

retain its wearability, smartness and other qualities after repeated

wash and wear cycles. So we work closely with laundries and other

organisations to ensure our workwear fabric ranges meet the

demands of ETSA performance.

Another important factor is the way an organisation’s workforce is

presented. Workwear plays an important role in its corporate image -

and the way it is perceived by its customers and the world at large.
