PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Working as Chemist QC & LAB in Sitara Chemicals Industries
limited Faisalabad since November-2013 JOB RESPONSBILITIES:
Reporting function: Directly Reports to Deputy Manager & Sr.
Manager (Lab & QC) Basic Function:
To Manage/ supervise the working of General & Shift Lab.
To monitor the quality of raw material (Rock salt, Lime burnt,
limestone, Soda Ash, Sulphuric Acid, Barium Carbonate & water
treatment chemical), finished products & process parameters
according to given specifications.
Responsibilities and authorities: To supervise the sampling of
Anolyte And Catholyte of membrane electrolyzes for efficiency test.
To manage the analysis for membrane efficiency test.
To train the new coming Lab. Staff in all aspects.
To calibrate the instruments of General & shift lab.
To arrange the analysis of special samples and to prepare
Lab.Test reports.
To attend the customers complaints about products & to
investigate product quality problems. To act as coordinator between
the other departments in order to get jobs completed within
shortest possible time.
To monitor the different process parameters according to given
specification.
To monitor the chemicals reagents consumption.
ANALYSIS OF WATER:pH, conductivity of water, total solids in
water, total dissolved solids in water, alkalinity, hardness,
silica, iron, chloride, chromate, heavy metals, BOD, COD and
organic matter, sulphite, sulphate, phosphate etc.
ANALYSIS OF SPECIALITY CHEMICALS:Calcium chloride, magnesium
chloride, zinc chloride, nickel chloride, sodium bisulphate.
ANALYSIS OF GASES:Oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide,
nitrogen, sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitric oxide, halogens
(chlorine),benzene, phosphine, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulfide,
water vapor, ammonia, phosphorous pentaoxide, flue gases.
ANALYSIS OF BRINE:Sodium chloride, caustic, carbonate,
bicarbonate, turbidity, chlorate, sulphate, calcium, magnesium,
silica, metals (iron, lead, aluminum, vanadium, chromium,
strontium, barium, nickel, copper, molybdenum, manganese).
TECHNICAL SKILLS :
During my job and study I learned and working on following
instruments and techniques. Spectrophotometer (Dr 3900, Dr 2010, Dr
5000), Flue gas analyzer IMR 2800 P, Orsat Apparatus.
Sound level meter, Polari meter.
Kjeldhal Apparatus.Zahim Negel apparatus-DTM-4 ( for carbon
dioxide )
