Explores technology systems, manufacturing processes, kinematics, statics, material testing, and addresses the social and political consequences of technological change.

Students use Fischertechniks to design and program a “factory” to sort between three colors of marbles

Students design & construct ballistic device to launch ping pong ball at target

COMPUTER INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING

Enhances computer modeling skills by applying principles of robotics and automation to the creation of models of three-dimensional designs.

Students learn to program Scorbot-ER 4u and Prolight 1000 CNC machine

ENGINEERING DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Students formulate the solution to an open-ended engineering question.

Students create, test, and evaluate prototypes, then present and defend their design to a panel of engineers.
