Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile Co. Facilitate Its In-telligent Fleet Management Service with the Help of UBIAI’s ADIP
In recent years, with the development of the econ-
omy and the progress of society, the number of
cars in China has continued to increase. By the end
of 2018, the number of motor vehicles in China had
reached 325 million, an increase of 15.56 million
from the end of 2017. From January to May 2017,
China's heavy truck market sold a total of 486,000
vehicles of various types, an increase of 73% over
the 280,000 vehicles comparing to the same period
of last year. Among them, sales in May reached
98,000, an increase of 51% year-on-year. Sales
remained at a high level, with sales exceeding
expectations in the second quarter of 2017.
Compared to the individual vehicle intelligence of
passenger cars, the automatic driving of commer-
cial vehicles such as trucks in the logistics field
emphasizes the mass production of automatic
driving and vehicle networking. Especially when the
vehicle is handed over from the OEMs to the down-
stream logistics and transport company customers,
the management requirements at the fleet level
are more obvious. With the rapid development of
new technologies of IOT, the management style of
the fleet is undergoing new challenges, and the
intelligent management of the fleet has become
the trend of the times. The advent of new technolo-
gies has led to the continuous updating of fleet
management methods, from extensive manage-
ment to refined, and the fleet management indus-
try market has also developed rapidly.
After accumulating a large amount of driving data,
logistics data, and vehicle status data, how to
apply data to intelligent services of fleet manage-
ment, improve overall scheduling efficiency, and
control logistics costs are urgent problems for major
OEMs and logistics companies.

months after the launch of the platform, the vehicle failure rate dropped by 21.2%, and the accident rate
decreased by 32.8% compared to the same period of the last year.
