When Neeru and I first arrived to the United States, we were unaware of what our future would hold. The cultural differences coupled with the adjustments of a new world was frightening. As the years went by, we settled, established and began to grow our family. Shaan was born in 1982, and Dev in 1984. It was clear to us that we would educate them about our Indian heritage, culture, religion and values. We are proud to say, that we have been very successful in our goals. Our family is 60+ strong. – residing here in the US and in India. We are united as one. Together, we celebrate one another’s successes, take comfort in times of need and support each other as family should. Neeru and I dreamt of the day that we would welcome our new daughter into our family. After all, that is what we would be gaining with a marriage union. We cannot wait to share our lives with our new daughter – to help make her dreams come true, provide guidance and offer her unconditional love… We look forward to celebrating, rejoicing and uniting our families through this union. We hope that this booklet gives you some insight into our family, values, celebrations and most importantly, Shaan.
