III WORKSHOP ON OSAS: DISE AND PHARINGOPLASTY February 18-20, 2016 We present our third workshop dedicated to snoring and sleep apnea (OSA). Our course has two main objectives. On the one hand, to define the main diagnostic criteria of this disease, especially based on the DISE study as a diagnostic tool that can provide us with more information to assess which area of the upper airway is the cause of the mechanical obstruction in each case. Moreover, this course will thoroughly review the main surgical techniques that have developed to treat this pathology, and will discuss their current indications. For this, the workshop will have a theoretical and practical approach. In addition to keynote lectures, there will be live surgery and dissection practices. Major global experts in this field will attend this course, so it is a unique opportunity to learn directly from the masters. Surgery courses from IFMEC are designed so the student acquire skills that can professionalize immediately. Our goal is that the experience not only have an impact in the curriculum but also in daily clinical practice.
