ABU UBAIDAHIBN AL JARRAHHe was known as the trustworthy man of this ummah and was chosen to lead the Muslim armies by Umar Ibn Al-Khattab.

She was the aunt of the Prophetand mother of Zubair ibn alAwwam. She raised him as abrave man that would neversurrender to any of Allah’screatures.

He was the husband of Sumayya.He was the first male martyr todie for Islam. Also killed byAbu Jahl.

MUS’AB IBN UMAIR

Prophet chose Musab to be his "ambassador" to Madinah to teach

a group of believers who had come to pledge allegiance to

Islam and prepare Madinahfor the day of the great Hijrah.

Faith entered his heart when heheard the Quran and he begantelling his parentsabout Islam.

SUMAYYA BINT KHAYYAT

She was the first martyr to diefor Islam. She was killed byAbu Jahl.

He was an early revert to Islamwho was martyred at Battle

ABDULLAH IBN RAWAAHAHe was the poet who defended

Islam with his words. He wasmartyred at Battle of Mut’ah.

SA’D IBNMU’AADHThe Throne shook at the

death of Sa‘d ibn Mu‘aadh, because of the joy of the Lord.

The son of Umm Sulaim, he served the Prophet (saws) forten years and never encountered

Another son of Umm Sulaim,he was a brave warriorresponsible for thevictory at Battle of Yamamah.

UMM SULAYMShe loved the Prophet (saws)so much that she brought herten year old son, Anas, to the

Prophet so he could serve him.

ABU DARDAHe was known for his dislikefor this world and love of the

late night prayer.He was a Persian who traveledin search of the truth.

His travels brought him toMadinah and Islam.

KHALIDIBN WALEEDHe was known as the ‘Sword of

Allah’ and was undefeatedin battle.

ABU DUJANAHe was a brave warrior who

was given the Prophet’s (saws)sword.

SALMAAN AL FARSEE

ABU SUFYANHe fought against Islam most

of his life. However, he eventuallyaccepted Islam and from his

progeny came the firstMuslim dynasty.

WAHSHIHe was a freed slave who was responsible for killing Hamzabefore becoming a Muslim.

However, he also killed the falseprophet Musaylama after

becoming Muslim.

ABDULLAHIBN UMARHe was known to be famousreporter of the Hadiths and early jurist ofIslam.

and was responsible for theconquest of Egypt.

IKRIMAH IBNABI HAKAMHe was the son of Abu Jahl,and died a martyr at Battle

He was a dynamic speaker andinitially a staunch enemy of Islam.He expressed great regret ataccepting Islam so late, and made up for it inJihad.

He was the son of Umayyah IbnKhalaf who was famous fortorturing his slave Bilal for hisIslam. Safwan reverted toIslam after thebattle ofHunayn.

JUWAIRIYYAHBINT AL HARITH

RUQAYYAShe was married to UthmanIbn Affan and passed awayaround the same time as theBattle of Badr.

HASANIBN ALI

He was beloved grandson of theProphet (saws). He was responsible for ending the firstcivil war and reuniting the ummah.

She married Uthman Ibn Affanafter her sister passed away.

ZAINABShe was the Prophet’s (saws)eldest daughter and passed

away during his lifetime.

He was the son of Zaid IbnHaritha and the Prophet (saws)appointed him as a leader of anarmy when he was still a teenager.

JAFAR IBNABI TALIB

He was the Prophet’s (saws)cousin, and represented theimmigrants to Abyssinia in thecourt of the King ofAbyssinia.
