have gone into this area of the

world and have prayed, as well as met, talked with, prayed with/for, given literature to, and shared Jesus with some of the people of this region. There is a great need to share Jesus with these people, and the time is

***** For those who really need to

"know everything," this article will be very frustrating. Because of the need to be very general in my comments, l cannot give specific details concerning the work we have undertaken.

Many know that last year CBA voted to adopt a major unreached

' people group in the Middle East and Central Asia. Our work has been to prayerwalk in major cities

\.and towns amongst this unreached people group. Already teams

npe. Our vision is to have at least

four team leaders who will lead a team into this region every quarter. This is a long-term commitment (several years) so that we can help plant churches and train leadership to continue the work.

If you would be interested in this work, or you would like more information, please contact me, Michael Smith, at 1../ [email protected]. Or, you can call me at 606-4631.

If you do not feel led to be a part of th is effort, please pray for us during this strategic time.

BSC Restructuring Continued ... It is very probable that we will have

more funds available to us for new church starts and evangelistic outreach projects.

Before we judge the restructuring of our State Convention, let us take a close look and see if churches near the college campuses across North Carolina will step up to the challenge. If our churches will accept this challenge, they are in a far better position to reach and minister to the College Campus than the campus minister.

Let us also give the 8 strategy coordinators time to get in place and organize our Buncombe Co., Henderson Co. area in "Impacting Lostness."

53% of children in Henderson County schools receive free or reduced lunches. 120 families are benefiting this summer from the Summer

Feeding program. Churches, businesses, individuals, Sunday school classes, ministries ... this is your opportunity to minister to children in need right in your own community. For the third year Carolina Baptist Association is organizing the collection and distribution of food during the summer for children on break from school. This is a wonderful way to meet and minister to children and families near your home or church. It's not about a box of food but a platform to share Jesus. For more information on how you can help call the Association office or Carrie Kuester at 243-1035 or email [email protected]. Food and/or monetary donations may be dropped off Monday through Thursday at the Association (601 Hebron St.)
