SEVA BHARATHI - HYDERABAD

ANNUAL REPORT 2013-14 Seva Bharathi established in 1984 has been channelizing their effort into an organized

movement to improve the living standards of the poor, especially the slum-dwellers

and inhabitants of remote villages. Please see below details of activities under Seva Bharathi in the year 2013-14.

Services in Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad 1. Help desk:

Every day About 600 Patients come from various distant places to Gandhi Hospital for Treatment. These people dont have knowledge regarding where abouts of various departments, kind of treatments fall under those departments, Diagnosis related things and procedures to be followed for Treatments. To resolve this problem and facilitate them with clear guidelines and help Seva Bharathi volunteers work around the clock at Hospital.

2. Shelter Home: The attendants who come along with patients from far distances are facing problem for accommodation. For these people with the help of Sivananda Ashramam and Gandhi Hospital we are providing shelter. Every day around 85 persons are sheltered here. This shelter home has the capability of 200 persons.

MEDICAL CAMPS

1. Free Homeo Medical Camps twice a week by Dr. Krishnamurthy (Mon 4:30-6 pm, Wed 4:30-6 pm) at Seva Bharathi Office, Kachiguda, Hyderabad and this year 2500 patients got benefited.

2. On every Friday 9:00-10:30 am free Homeo medical camp by Dr. Ramchandra Reddy (Homeo) is running by Seva Bharathi at Seva Bharathi Office, Kachiguda, Hyderabad. This year 1250 patients got benefited by this camp.

3. Free Dental treatment by Dr. P. Laxmi at Seva Bharathi Office and this year 500 patients are benefited by this.

4. For the past 15 years Diabetic camp has been run by specialist Dr. Modi on first

Thursday of every month from 7am to 8.30am at Seva Bharathi, Hyderabad office. Every month About 120 patients get benefited from this camp.

5. We are selling Insulin at very low rates for poor people who cant afford the cost of

it.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CENTERS (KISHORI VIKAS KENDRAS) - 58 Seva Bharathi has been conducting 52 centers in in Hyderabad, villages in

Rangareddy district and 6 centers in Renjal Mandal, Nizamabad District. About 20 to

25 high school girl students are trained at each center in education, personality

development, and vocational training.

MONTHLY REPORT FOR 2013-14

APRIL 25: We Collected and Donated blood to Nandamuri Basava Tarakam Cancer

Hospital by Organizing Blood donation camp in Hindu High School campus, Opposite

Gokul Theatre, Erragadda. 100 donors came forward and from that we have taken from 80

qualified donors.

APRIL 26,27: We Organized a two days Training Program for all full timers from our 19

hostels and 4 schools at Vatsalya Sindhu Awasam, Hyderabad. Delegates trained in

childrens health, food, habits, beautiful hand writing, personality development and etc. In

this Program RSS All India Joint Seva Pramukh Sri Ajit Mahapatra garu given his Valuable

guidelines to make our services Motivate and inspiration. Total 39 full timers were attended

this program. MAY 10: Conducted one week summer camp at P.N.M. High School, Kukatpalli for

students. This camp was conducted to teach them regarding personality development,

yoga, Vedic mathematics, painting and history of patriots. MAY 12: Seva Bharathi has supported marriage of poor young woman Chi. Sow.

Kodanda laxmi at Sri Venkateswaraswamy Temple, Vaddepalli, Faluknama, Hyderabad

on the auspicious moment of 10:18 AM, May 12th, 2014.

MAY 17: 68 Students from various hostels run by Seva Bharathi were appeared S.S.C.

exam for the academic year of 2012-13 and out of those 64 students were assed.

52 students are passed in First class.

JULY: A Free Eye Test Camp was conducted in Madakasira village, Anatapur District.

In this camp 50 patients are benefited. In this for 30 patients we performed various

tests and conducted operation for 15 patients at free of cost. AUGUST 18: We celebrated house warming ceremony of our new Seva bharathi Office

(Shankara nilayam) at Ramakrishnapuram, Secunderabad. This building was inaugurated

by Chief guest G.H.M.C. Zonal Commissioner Sri S. Harikrishna and a Free Homeo Clinic

was inaugurated by Dr. Kishan, Principal, Govt. Homeopathy College, Ramantapur Hyd. AUGUST 22: We conducted a free cardiology medical camp at Seva Bharathi building. In

this free medical tests and ECG were performed for 86 patients, out of these 10 patients

were admitted in hospital and provided the free treatment.

OCTOBER 6: Blood donation camp was organized by Seva Bharathi at Maruthinagar, Dhilshkunagar, Hyderabad for the sake of Talasemia patients. 89 participants including 19

ladies donated blood. JANUARY 5: We Organized Doctors Meet in Patel Hall, Keshav Memorial Engineering

College, Narayanaguda Hyderabad. Around 300 Doctors from various specializations are

attended and discussed on Necessity of Medical services to Poor people. They

responded very well in regarding this.

JANUARY 10, 11: Thirty nine teachers from 5 schools running under the guidelines of

Seva Bharathi attended the Two days Training camp. In these training sessions Spoken

English, Easy Methods in Mathematics along with Habits for healthy living, Yoga,

Pranayamam etc. are explained by Sri Balendra garu, Seva Bharathi Executive member

and Correspondent of Vardhana School.

JANUARY 26: Prayers offered to Bharat Mata in 11 places of Greater City and 423

Indians participated in these great celebrations.

FEBRUARY: Rashtriya Seva Bharathi Vice President Dr. Narendra Deshai garu visited

various service organizations, persons doing various services in our place and suggested

to do service activities with mutual coordination and according to the needs of society.

MARCH: Thirty eight (38) students who are studying in hostels running under the

guidelines of Seva Bharathi, appeared S.S.C. exam. And in those 32 students were passed.

Glimpse of the results are as follows

A2 6, B1 5, B2 12, C1 - 4, D1 - 1 Results of Vidyaranya Awasam, Hasanparthi students are: 11 students passed in Inter 1st year out of 15 students. 16 students passed in Inter 2nd year out of 17 students. Highlights of their performance ares

3 are selected for B.tech 2 are selected to T.T.C. 1 student is selected for Integrated PG.

And other than the above intermediate students, 7 boys are studying Diploma.
