The girls had an amazing time and it was a great experience. Peter liked their singing so much that he also asked them to sing backing on a demo track of a song he wrote about his mother. He is hoping that this song will be recorded by the lead singer of INXS. Peter said, ‘I have lots of kids in the studio doing the dance/performance recordings for end of year shows, and I have never EVER had kids pick up what I ask them to do so perfectly and quickly. I usually ‘dumb it down’ so we get at least something. But your kids….wow, I do something once and they get it.’ Thanks to Miss Scott and Don Spencer for providing us with such a great experience. NRMA ALERT: PARENTS AND SCHOOLS CAN STILL HAVE THEIR SAY ON SCHOOL ZONES NSW parent committees have until 29 July to let NRMA know if local school zone warning signs are up to scratch through its Keep Schools Safe survey.

The survey gives parents and school committees the chance to provide feedback on the condition of existing signage at their school zone.

MyChild's eHealth Record app puts children's health information at parents'

fingertips. A new mobile app has been launched that allows parents to keep their children’s important health, growth and development information at their fingertips.

The My Child’s eHealth Record app lets parents add and monitor information like immunisations, height, weight, and development milestones.

“This App will mean that parents can have vital information about their children’s health, like their immunisation status, at their fingertips all of the time,” said Ms Plibersek, the Minister for Health.

“It doesn’t replace the Blue Book or its equivalents, but if a parent is asked by a childcare centre about their child’s immunisation status, they are very likely to have their mobile with them if they are not carrying the blue book.

“There’s a lot of health information that parents need to keep track of in the early years of their child’s growth, including immunisations, their growth rates and their development milestones.

“The app connects parents to their child’s eHealth record, which is a new function added recently as part of the ongoing rollout of the Government’s national eHealth record system. Information about the My Child’s eHealth Record app is available from www.ehealth.gov.au , including links to download the app.

The NRMA recommends that all school zone warning signs be replaced with the Australian-standard, fluorescent lime green colour.

The survey will remain open until 29 July 2013 with the results to be provided to the NSW Government to assist in the further roll-out of Australian-standard signs and flashing lights. To fill out the survey go to www.mynrma.com.au/schoolzonesafety.
