Setting Up Your Microsoft Azure Account

Please go to the link-www.bu.edu/metit as shown in the figure below

Click on MS Imagine under Service tab.

Click on Microsoft Imagine under the How to Login section.

Click on start shopping

Login with your BU email address and corresponding password.

To accept the terms and conditions click ok.

Click on Microsoft Azure.

Add it to the cart.

Checkout your shopping cart now.

The below page appears as a receipt of your order.

Once you scroll down the order summary page you can click on the sign in to MicrooftImagine website option.

Click on sign in to access button.

We need to sign in to your microsoft account with an email address which does not belongto a school or professional domain which is why please use personal email address to sign in.

Fill in your details, (please note that below in the picture we can see dummy data).

Complete the form and click on create account.

Verify your account from the verification email that we receive.

The below page appears once the account is created.

Scroll down and fill the school details.

Hit I accept after filling the school details.

Now click on “please verify student status”

For verification we need to specify the method that we are going to use to verify the studentaccount.

Go to the order receipt page as shown in step 11, scroll down to find the verification code,we will use this verification code to verify our student account.

Selection Microsoft Imagine Verification Code as the option.

Type in the verification code and hit submit.

Click on continue once the account is successfully verified.

Now click on Activate Azure.

Click on the link as shown below.

Enter the same personal email address that we used to create the Microsoft Account.

Now we can see the dashboard.

Click on SQL Databases.

Click on Add+

Click on Sign up for a subscription

Select the first option

Fill the form that comes up and hit sign up button.

Click on Get started with your subscription.

Now if we go to SQL Databases and click on Add, we should be able to see a screen similar tothe one shown in below.
