How does HTC Work in Prevention?

Informs of HIV sero-status Provides HIV/AIDS information and risk reduction

counseling Greatest impact on those testing HIV positive– Reduce sexual partners– Increase condom use (esp. in sero-discordant couples)– Link to care and support

For HIV negative– Some partner reduction– Links to prevention services (e.g., VMMC)
