COURSE OVERVIEW
Join your colleagues and fellow alumni to celebrate the 50th
Duke Urologic Assembly!
In celebration of this golden anniversary, we have assembled an outstanding roster of Duke alumni, faculty, and national leaders participating in a comprehensive scientific program that provides effective and efficient evidence- based information and resources to the healthcare provider and
team specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions and diseases related to urology and urologic oncology.
Healthcare professionals attending this symposium will be engaged through interactive talks, video surgical presentations, interactive case presentations, and panel discussions on the latest evidence-based clinical approaches to managing a wide range of urologic conditions.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES• Apply effective and efficient
diagnosis and treatments in the sub-specialties of urology and urologic oncology
• Analyze new technologies and therapies to provide the utmost, least invasive care to patients
• Evaluate and outline management options for the various urologic conditions
• Choose appropriate patients for minimally-invasive surgical approaches
• Distinguish various surgical approaches and compare their effectiveness and safety profiles
• Identify the currently available biomarkers, the pros and cons of each, as well as where in the schema they are optimally utilized
• Develop collaboration between urologists, genitourinary oncologists, and radiation oncologists for patient care from diagnosis to management
