Exinda 4061 - Quick Start Guide

WAN Optimization Made Easy

Step One - Physical Installation

1.WiththeappliancepoweredOFFinstallacrossovercable(red)

betweenExindasWANportandtheRouter/Firewall.

2.Installastraightthroughcable(blue)betweenExindasLANport

andtheLANswitch.

3.Ensurethatthereisstillconnectivitythroughtheappliance.This

willensurethattheEthernetbypassisworking.

4.Installastraightthroughcable(blue)betweenExindas

managementport(Gb1)andtheLANswitch.

5.Pluginthepowercord.

6.SwitchontheapplianceandensurethattheNIClightsflashand

trafficispassingthrough.

Step Two - Jump Start from Web User Interface

1.TheExindaappliancebydefaultwillpickupanIPAddressfromDHCP.TheIPAddressisavailableonthemanagementinterface.

Note:IfaDHCPaddressisnotpickedup,theExindawilldefaulttotheIPAddress172.14.1.57.Openawebbrowserandconnectto

theWebUserInterfacebytypinghttps://172.14.1.57intheaddressfield.YoumustconfiguretheIPAddressofyourPCtothesame

subnetastheExindaappliancee.g.setyourIPAddressto172.14.1.58,netmask255.255.255.0

2.Fromawebbrowsergotothefollowingwebsitewww.findmyexinda.com.Thiswilldownloadanappletandautomaticallyfindthe

recentlyinstalledExinda.

Note:findmyexinda.comutilizesamulticastpackettofindlocalExindaunitsthereforeyouneedtobeonthesamephysicallocalLAN

forthistowork.

3.ClickontheExindaappliancethathasbeenfound.

4.SelectBasicModeandloginwithusername=adminandpassword=exinda.

5.ClickonWizardandStarttheConfigurationWizard

6.Completeallsteps.Youaredone.

settings->Bitspersecond=9600,Bits=8,Parity=None,Stopbits=1,FlowControl=Hardware.

2.Loginwithusername=adminandpassword=exinda.

3.Whenpromptedtorunthejumpstartansweryes.Ifnotpromptedexecutethefollowingcommandstostartthejumpstart:

>enable,#configureterminal,#configurationjump-start

4.Completeallsteps.SaveandyourDone.
