How AASHE Defines Sustainability

Inclusive, encompassing human and ecological health, social justice, secure livelihoods, and a better world for all generations

Three spheres - not just about the "environment."

Incorporates the triple bottom line: profit, people, and planet.

Draws on Brundtland definition: a better world for all generations.
