PARISH MISSION STATEMENT
We, the people of God of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic community, Empowered by the Holy Spirit, must manifest to the city of Kingston, New York, and to the world, a clear vision of God’s plan for His kingdom as we strive to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ, one another, and the Universal Church.
We endeavor to be a welcoming parish, and are dedicated to creating an environment of faith through Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, Sacred Liturgy and by the reception of the Holy Sacraments, study, stewardship, and action, so that in union with our Triune Godhead, we may build up the Kingdom of God. Sharing these ministries, as the Mystical Body of Christ, we as the People of God at St. Joseph Parish challenge ourselves to witness to the truth of His Church in Word and Deed to one and all.

The Peter’s Pence Collec on this March 12th week-end enables the Holy Father to respond with emer-gency financial assistance to requests to aid the neediest throughout the world—those who suffer as a result of war, oppression, and natural disasters. It likewise provides the faithful with a tangible oppor-tunity to not only empower the weak, defenseless, and voiceless, but also sustain those who suffer.
JANE TOUHEY RETIRING
Jane Touhey, our Parish organist for almost 25 years, has decided to re re and move out west to be with family. Words cannot express the gra tude we owe her for the wonderful music ministry we have at our parish. Obviously she is going to be very difficult to replace. Jane does expect to play for us, un l her plans come to frui on. When details are finalized we will plan a formal way to thank her.
In hiring a new musician, we ask that the individual be proficient on both organ (Allen Three-Manual Electronic) and digital piano, be able to work with our parish choir director and be present for weekly choir rehearsals, collaborate with clergy, cantors and choir members.
The posi on requires playing weekend Masses (Saturday 5:00, Sunday 7:30, 9:30 & 11:30.) Availability to play for funerals (Mon-Sat mornings) and weddings are an important component of the posi on. We seek candidates who love the mission and music of our Church.
If we cannot find a full- me organist, we would also consider hiring several individuals to cover one or two Masses on a weekend. Interested candidates should submit a cover le er, resume, and references to Msgr. Desmond O’Connor at [email protected]. Salary will then be discussed.
Jane is in our prayers as she goes into a new chapter in her life. She does leave St. Joseph's with a great legacy in our wonderful Music Ministry.
Please pray especially for Robert Antonovich, Alberta Gubinski, George Habernig, Lillian Knapp, Courtney Harring-Morgan, Steve McIntyre, Mary Jane Palmadessa, Colleen Radel, Antoine e Thompson, Nicholas Thompson, June Wilson and for all parishioners who are homebound, in healthcare facili es or seriously ill.
In Loving Memory of Donna Byars Freeman,
Elizabeth (Betty) Heitzman, Patrick Fergus Keyes and Joseph Stuart, III
