Environmental friendlinessSustainability and ecology are addressed increasingly as the important social issues they clearly are. Fortunately, the importance of having a small ecological footprint is becoming ever more evident and often the deciding factor for consumers. An excellent example of our eco-friendly approach is our ‘green’ paint shop. A vacuum evaporator enables us to use rainwater, so that we do not have to discharge wastewater. Moreover, the production hall is heated by blowing purified hot air from the production process back into the facility. No less than ninety percent of the powders used are recovered. Finally, the strategic placement of the hall on our grounds enables a 50% reduction in packaging materials. We are self-critical and continuously looking for ways to achieve even greater sustainability.

Wilms offers roller shutters in PVC and aluminium that are fully customised to customer specifications. The customer can choose from a powder or wet-coat finish or a foil finish. The entire production process takes place in-house.

Aluminium and carbon tubes Apart from the traditional steel version, Wilms now also offers carbon and aluminium tubes for screens. These new tubes are considerably lighter (making them easier to install) and improve the hanging behaviour of the screen. This technology is patented by Wilms.

Screens: relief on hot daysBoth roller shutters and screens prevent a considerable amount of solar heat from penetrating the building. An advantage of screens is that they allow light to pass through, thereby preventing overheating of the home while retaining visibility. Moreover, screen fabric has excellent reflective properties. Terrace awningsAn elegant and windproof solution if the wall is not strong enough to support a folding-arm screen. The weight of the awning is supported by pillars, thereby reducing the load on the wall. Our terrace awnings can also be installed on four pillars, which means that not even a mounting wall is needed.

sIf the customer does not have enough space for a vertical screen or surface-mounted roller shutter, an exterior solution (depending on the installation location) can be used to contribute to a more pleasant indoor temperature.

Three birds with one stone: there is enough space between the screen or roller shutter and the window to attach a mosquito screen. The ventilation grate is hidden completely from view in the box.

Acoustic insulation:ventilation can cause outdoor noises to enter the home. The acoustic box helps absorb sounds.

Today’s homes are so well insulated that there is the risk of an inadequate supply of fresh air in the building. Opening windows helps to some extent, but this is not a comfortable option in the winter. Wilms has developed a system that enables ventilation with closed windows and doors.

Rolvent® This insulated built-on system combines a minimum of heat loss with a maximum supply of fresh, healthy air! This system with integrated ventilation is unique in the market. Local customisationAll of our products are built to customer specifications. The customer can choose between various types of systems, colours, fabrics, blinds and operating units to compile a product that fully meets his or her needs.

Everything under one roof Wilms has its own extrusion lines and paint shops. We have everything in-house needed for powder and wet-coating. Our powder-coating plant is fully automatic. This enables us to complete custom orders more quickly than in the past. In addition, the colour range for the pvc and aluminium components is coordinated, leading to an identical result, yet using different materials.

Wilms also has its own foiling line. PVC profiles can be given a foil colour that perfectly matches the window profile. Wilms has a range of more than 55 colours for foiling. Does your customer want a grain texture in the guide rails? Or perhaps matte foil? No problem!

Wilms has its own fabrics department and offers a wide range of fabric types. Does your customer prefer a fabric that allows considerable light to penetrate? Or one with a darkening effect? Wilms has both!

Wilms manages the entire production cycle in-house. This enables us to perfectly time the availability of a product.

We manage the entire production cycle in-house so that our staff can check the exact status of an order in the production process at any time of the day. This allows us to stay on the ball in the event of any last-minute changes and to keep our lead times to a minimum. We also have our own transport service to guarantee safe and reliable delivery of your order.

The most advanced solutions on the marketWilms offers traditional built-in, surface-mounted and built-on roller shutters along with pioneering innovations developed by our wonderful Research & Development department.
