Mission StatementThe mission of Brookside Elementary is that students will become respectful, responsible, peaceful and lifelong learners.

Once upon a time in 1865 Brookside started as a small two room house that served as the neighborhood schoolhouse. In 1866 two more rooms were added! As the neighborhood grew in the early 1900s, so did the number of children and the schoolhouse grew to 20 rooms and an auditorium. In 2004, renovations took place to turn the school into what it is today! Relics from the past are still seen. V.I.Ps of BrooksidePrincipal: Julie BakehornVice Principal: Tomeka Johnson
