Neighborhood based, non-profit community center
Located in Milwaukee's Riverside Park Provides environmental science programs to
neighborhood schools, promotes environmental awareness in the community, preserves and enhances the natural resources of Riverside Park, and protects the Milwaukee River

on Eastside of Milwaukee. Accessibility to environmental education and nature easier for minorities and those in the inner city. The darker the green, the higher

A Sustainable Green Building
The Urban Ecology Center facility was built using wood, metal, cardboard, drywall, commingled recyclables, concrete and other materials. 73% of the waste materials generated from building the Center were recycled.
Environmentally friendly, sustainable-building features
– day lighting, natural ventilation, use of recycling and reused materials, and the creative use of rainwater
