Friends of Rockaway

June 18, 2016

Friends of Rockaway is an organization created in order to rebuild the homes that were severely compromised by Hurricane Sandy. CCNY Circle K, along with our Kiwanis family, work with Friends of Rockaway frequently and have fostered a strong connection to the organization and its goals. On this

day, we tore down parts of a house in order to rebuild it.

Coney Island Fireworks Event

July 8, 2016

This was our first fellowship event of the summer, for which we went to the Coney Island boardwalk to watch the fireworks and celebrate Independence Day. Our editor, Grace Rosado, brought some of her friends along to enjoy

the patriotic festivities.

Manny Cantor Center Meals for the Elderly Event

July 22, 2016

This event was hosted by Hunter College Circle K. Our members along with members from Hunter Circle K and Divina from Lehman Circle K went to the Manny Cantor Center on the Lower East Side of Manhattan to serve food to

the elderly at the home.

K-Family Picnic

August 7, 2016

This is one of the biggest K-Family events of the summer. At this event, every member of the K-Family is invited to hang out and raise money for

Lyme Disease. Plus, our favorite executives got pied!

Central Park Picnic

August 8, 2016

We hosted one last CCNY fellowship event of the summer, which was a picnic in Central Park. We played games, bonded, and de-stressed together before

it was time to get back into the swing of classes and school work.

St. Bartholomew's Soup Kitchen

August 17, 2016

This event was hosted by Hofstra Circle at St. Bartholomew’s Church in midtown Manhattan. We served meals to homeless people in the area. Asad

Moughal, president of Molloy Circle K also attended.

We’ve accomplished a lot of goals this summer, including hosting more fellowship events and more interclub events with students from other colleges. We’re glad to be back, and we’re excited to continue in our dedication to service, leadership, and fellowship through the 2016-2017 school year. We hope to recruit more members this year that feel just as passionately as we do about upholding this philanthropic dedication that Circle K prides itself in. All CCNY students are welcome to join!
