Ride like the wind.Since Metro Rapid only stops at major cross streets, there’s nothing to slow you down. Just show up at your station to find a bus coming by every few minutes. Then, cruise through intersections with special sensors that keep tra;c lights green. Less time waiting at red lights means fewer delays.

> Fast Signal priority allows Metro Rapid to extend

green lights.

> Frequent Buses come every 10-15 minutes in peak hours.

> Fabulous Color-coded buses and stops make it easy to

identify your service.

Come to a community meeting.

Metro Gold Line Eastside Extension

metro.net

Metro and the Review Advisory Committee invite you to a community meeting to learn about and provide feedback on the re-interment plan, ceremony and memorial for the remains discovered at the LA County Crematorium.

Thursday, June 28 at 6:30pm Boyle Heights Senior Citizen Center 2839 E 3rd St Los Angeles

In June 2005, Metro initiated construction activities on the LA County Crematorium in preparation for widening 1st Street to accommodate the East Portal for the Metro Gold Line Eastside Extension. Soon after beginning excavation under the Crematorium property driveway, human remains were discovered and construction was halted. Metro immediately declared this site an archeological excavation and worked closely with a project archeologist to determine what was found. Metro then notified the public through the Review Advisory Committee and made a commitment to work closely with the community to solicit feedbackand guidance on a culturally sensitive and respectful re-intermentplan, ceremony and memorial.

The Review Advisory Committee formed the Ad-Hoc Sub Committee to address the needs of the community. We hope you can attend this special community meeting and look forward to seeing you there.

Venga a una reunión comunitaria.Extensión hacia el Este de Metro Gold Line

metro.net

That was enoughfor me to forgive you.To spirit a tigerfrom its cell.

Called me corazónin that instant beforeI let go the phoneback to its cradle.

Your voice small.Heat of your eyes, how I would’ve placedmy mouth on each.

Said corazónand the word blazedlike a branch of jacaranda.

Pacific Electric “Blimp”
