Renae Howard’s brother, Mike Jeffery, passed away

last Saturday. We extend our sympathy to her and

her family. His memorial service is at 11:00

a.m.,January 20, at the first Baptist Church in

Adair.

WE ARE WELL ABLE God instructed Moses to send twelve spies out to survey the Promised Land and report back with their findings. After forty days they returned and reported it to be a land that “flows with milk and honey” (Numbers 13:27). However, ten of the spies gave an unfavorable report (Numbers 13:28-29). The text says, “Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said ‘Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it’” ( Numbers 13:30.) Too many times, like the ten spies, we walk by sight and not by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7).
