JEC Distinguished Alumnus Series -13 Ajay Upadhyaya Co-Founder & CEO EduBrite Ajay graduated in 1994 from GEC Jabalpur in E&TC and went on to do his Master's from IIT Delhi in Computer Technology. He has also done his schooling from Pt LS Jha Model School Jabalpur in 1990. He then joined TCS and worked on architecture of CRM product for KLM, Northwest airlines. Then moved to architecture team of Quartz (offered in Indian market with brand name eTreasury), a large scale Banking platform providing integrated solution for credit, retail, foreign exchange, securities and portfolio management. He Went to US in 1999, started consulting with BEA Systems, Etrade (launched etrade's Sweden, Norway & Israel sites) in year 2001 and also Built B2B platform for 3Com. He started product career with self initiative at eTouch – architected and built platform consisting of enterprise workflow, content management, collobaration (brand name SamePage) with highly successful implementation at Nasa. Still Nasa's all front end apps run on this platform (www.nasa.gov, wiki.nasa.gov, blogs.nasa.gov), other implementation of product at Kaplan, HP, Cisco, WebEx, SalesForce, Citrix etc. He then joined eBay and worked on most trafficked systems which handle more than a billion requests a day comprising personalized promotions, user behavioral targeting, geo targeting, user tracking & analytics. He then launched TenPlusTwo in Apr 2008 to address the test prep needs of students and creating a social collaborative learning platform followed by EduBrite in June 2009 with aim to scale up the tech platform to cover all aspects of learning in the social collaborative environment. He lives with his wife Neena, who is also a Software Engineer, and daughter Drishti 5 yrs in California. His favourite past times are music and sports.
