The summer has flown by but my favorite time to play golf is the Fall! With cooler temps, fast greens, and leaves changing colors, it is a wonderful time of the year. The Club has lots of events to finish out the golf season and keep you busy. Check out the schedule to see what’s coming up! Our junior golfers have had quite the summer. Each year, we have a PGA Junior League team with kids ages 7-13 of all skill levels. This year, we won the Springfield Area League and this grants us three players on the Area All-Star Team. Peyton Burbride, Carter Chronister, and Evan Growcock traveled to Kansas City on August 4th and 5th to compete at the regional competition. They competed against teams from KC as well as the surrounding areas. Our team won all of their matches to move on to the sectional competition back in KC on September 8th & 9th. Wish us luck and if we advance past the sectionals, we head to the national competition in Scottsdale, Arizona! We are extremely proud of our junior players for their hard work and determination. One of our Junior League All-Stars is Peyton Burbridge. He had a hole-in one on hole #9 on Sunday, August 19th. He is just 10 years old! The pavilion was filled with players from the ladies and senior club championship, so he got quite the ovation! Congrats Peyton, keep up the good work! The annual membership meeting was held on Friday, August 10th. We discussed major improvements such as: the Hack Shack, the tree removal project, as well as plans for future improvements like a new short game area and tennis courts. One of the biggest improvements that was made last year was with our financial position. The Club works on a revolving line of credit, which is very common for country clubs. Over the past five years, we have been going further into that line of credit each year. This past year we stopped that trend and actually ended the year cash flow positive. We could not have done that without the hard work of the Board, staff, as well as gaining all our new members. Brian Bennett, General Manager

As with all of our social events, this will be a free to attend event with the only cost coming from any food or beverage you purchase. If the Ugly Sweater Competition last year showed us anything, the Best Costume competition will be amazing. More information will be available soon. Company Christmas Parties It seems like the Holiday season is a long ways away but companies are already starting to book these events. If your business is interested in hosting a Christmas Party this year, contact Jaimey to see what we have to offer. We will work with you on menu, setup, and everything you need to have a great event! New Menu September 7th will see the launch of our new menu. Most of your favorite’s will stay but there will be some new items that you need to try out! Fried Flour Tacos has been one of our most popular specials that will now be on the menu. Open-faced beef sandwich, catfish, meatball sub, and quite a few others are must try items on the new menu. Children’s Miracle Network Tournament
We are pleased to announce that we had a record year for the number of teams en-tered in the tournament and money collected for this charity. Dona Elkins would like to thank all the ladies league volunteers that worked the tournament.
Fremont III
The Ladies League sponsored another very successful Fremont III. Our theme was “Let’s Par-Tee with Birdies”. The beautiful decorations of birdhouses, great food and the best two days of golfing weather in the Ozarks made for a spectacular time on July 31st and August 1st. Thanks to Connie Covey and her very impressive committee, the Fremont III is getting a reputation as one of the premier tournaments of the season.
Crystal Cup
We are sorry to report that The Fremont Hills Ladies lost the Crystal Cup for the 1st time. Congratulations to Twin Oaks. We would like to thank Nellie Morrison for all her hard work and for being such a great captain.
Family Tees
The Ladies League has voted to sponsor new forward discs that will be placed in the ground for use for our older women, our 9 whole players and our Junior members.

On September 4th we will have our last business meeting of the year. After the meet-ing, we will have a scramble round with all players. Our game is titled “Viva Las Ve-gas”,

Our Member 1-3 Guest will be September 18th. Pat Jackson and her committee are going to “JAZZ IT UP”! The entry fee is $30 with mulligans included in that price. Eve-ryone needs to get their entries in because it will be a great time to show off our club to our guests.
Fun Day
Everyone needs to sign up for Fun Day that is September 25th. Gretchen Frederick and Roxy Wrast are chairing this committee and have picked their theme as “The Leg-ends of Fremont Hills”. No one will want to miss our last day of league play. Please sign up to play! Don’t miss out on the fun!
