Hello all! Welcome to the new digital edition of the Gravity Flowline Newsletter! My name is Thomas Stevens with Advanced Infrastructure Technologies, and I’ll be working with the Board of Directors and section members to publish industry content, event information and other important announcements through-out the year.
The great news is that it will all be conveniently available right in your inbox! We will also be evolving into a more in-teractive newsletter, offering links to relevant articles, vendor highlights and various forms (workshop registration, award submissions etc…) More to come on that topic!
Lastly, I want everyone to know that if there is content you would like to see going forward, please let me know. Begin-ning with the next edition, I’d like to highlight a section mem-ber with exciting news or accomplishments, either profes-sional or personal, to help us all share in their success!
Please don’t hesitate to contact me directly via email by click-ing here or by phone at (661)808-8464.
Thank you all for participating in the TriCounties CWEA Sec-tion and I look forward to seeing you out in the field!

Hello Tri-Counties…..
With 2019 quickly wrapping up, I wanted to
share a few last reminders and thank our local
membership for phenomenal overall partici-
pation and attendance throughout this year.
We have successfully wrapped up our three
local section workshops in March, June, and
September and I cannot send enough thanks
to Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, and San Luis
Obispo for putting in the time and effort re-
quired to host these events. If you were una-
ble to attend one (or multiple) of the Tri-
County workshops this year, remember, they
are a great place to collaborate with industry
professionals as-well as gain those ever need-
ed contact hours.
Although the last quarter of the year is upon
us, your section’s Board of Directors and Com-
mittee Chairs are still hard at work planning
our Annual Safety and Turkey of the Year Din-
ner meeting (November 15, 2019), The ever
important TCP Training (December 5, 2019),
and Awards Banquet (January 17, 2020). More
information is available in this issue and at
https://tricounties.cwea.org/ We hope to see
you there!
If you would like to get more involved and/or
look for volunteer opportunities within our
section, please contact me at bmar-
[email protected] as there are open Commit-
tee Chair positions as-well as other opportuni-
ties to assist in promoting our Section.
Thank you to everybody for starting off 2019
with a bang, let’s finish the year strong and re-
member:

no one is watching” -C.S. Lewis-
Thank You,

Once again, The TriCounties Section of the CWEA put together a great event. The September Workshop was a great success. We want to thank our hosts, the City of San Luis Obispo, the City’s Corporation Yard is a great venue for this event. This was also the 10th year that the San Luis Obispo Facility had its Annual Vendor Walk Grand Prize Drawing for a 65” LG HD TV!!! For this event, the TriCounties Section partners with its
generous vendors who contribute and participate. This year, there were more than 100 registered participants and 22 vendors for the September Workshop. Each TriCounties workshop offers all participants a chance to earn valuable contact hours and receive training from industry professionals and peers. Classes offered ranged from BOD correlations to Rules of the Road, a California Highway Patrol taught class about safe driving. Lunch was provided to each registered participant in the form of a traditional BBQ prepared by City of San Luis Obispo staff. This year’s event was also a zero waste- type event. Our next event is the TriCounties CWEA Annual Safety Presentation “Turkey of the Year” Banquet. Check back for details!!!!!!
