HIGHLIGHTS CONT. Created a library Flickr feed of the Get Caught Reading

photos. Thanks to all who had their picture taken! Teacher quote in response to the

OPRFHS library class project page: “The wiki was great! It led the students right to the useful sites. This makes the project much more meaningful. I’m really impressed with the addition of technology in the library presentation.”

By Sept. 30th, 97 people were following the library FB page. Thank you Kay Foran for promoting the library page on the OPRFHS school FB page.

Completed a successful library orientation. One teacher stated that it was the best presentation the library has given in the 12 years he has worked at OPRFHS!

COLLABORATION, CONT. Began coordinating Jennifer Donnelly’s author visit and

invited teachers to participate Co-taught with Lauren Lee to provide students with

career and college research, applications, and essay writing

Brainstormed with TLC about ways to work together to provide ed. tech. support to teachers.

Brainstormed ideas for Jr. Theme with an English teacher Created handouts for students with input from several

history teachers on historiography, primary and secondary sources, and an Assignment Strategy for American History research papers.

Provided our collection of 1950s Life magazines to an American Studies class of 40 students who were totally captivated with the advertisements and photographs in them. Great background for reading Catcher in the Rye.

COLLABORATION, CONT.

Ordered collections of short plays for Theater Tech. class

Updated APA guidelines and sent them to classroom teachers

Provided assistance to a teacher planning a unit on race by providing books and lesson ideas

Taught 45 min. lesson to sociology about effective research strategies and website evaluation.

Created class NING instructional project for English 1A – 2A Hero’s Journey project

Researched text sets for English class studying Of Mice and Men and Persepolis
