OnMonday,September11th,weobservethe16thanniversaryofthe9/11terroristattacks.InthenarthexofSt.BartholomewChurchisadisplayofthestoleswhichbelongedtoFatherMychalJudge,chaplainoftheNewYourCityFireDepartment.FatherJudgediedatthesiteoftheWorldTradeCenter.Heisthefirstofficialvictimofthetragedy.Hisfavoriteprayerwassharedwiththefirstrespondersinthoseterribledays.

COUNSELOR’SCORNERSeptember10th-16thisSuicidePreventionWeek.Suicideisthe2ndleadingcauseofdeathamongstyoungpeopleaged10-24!However,suicideispreventableandthosecontemplatingsuicideusuallyshowwarningsigns.Parents,teachers,andpeersareimportantinhelpingtopreventsuicideamongyoungpeople.Asparentsandteachersitisimportantweareawareofriskfactors,warningsigns,andwaystopreventsuicide,anditisimportantthatweeducateyouthonhowtoaskforhelpwhenneededandhowtogethelpfortheirfriends.
